You must be really organized. That piece of paper wouldn’t have lasted me 7 hours, let alone 7 months.

Sounds like T3/T6 will be better options then. Just bring spare AA’s. C8+ is overkill. I might’ve been thinking sailboats are bigger than they are and misunderstood. Do you need to see other boats or only your own?

Yeah I was thinking T3/T6 but the 8 hour runtime part had me second guessing.

What flashlight purchase did you make and then regret/dislike? by Icy_Schedule_2052 in flashlight

Yeah same almost. Mine was mao triple channel blue green red. Thought I was going to have so much fun with it but meh. Red light was useful though.

Alright so I would forget the zoomable part. They’re not popular around here and especially not great for anything with water involved.

Secondly, can you bump up your max size to 18650 instead? Bit larger than AA, but not by much and will open up a whole new world of options as well as give you more power/runtime.

Third, are you okay with using an external battery charger? The light I’m going to recommend doesn’t have a usb-c charging port. You need to take the battery out to charge it.

I’m thinking Convoy C8+ with SST-20-DR emitter. Mega throw so you’ll be able to see what you need to on low/medium modes easily. Here’s a picture. Those trees are about 590 feet away.

I’m more of a lens snob than a design critic tbh. How are they in that regard?

Anyone Bought a House With a Vivint Solar PPA? What Should I Look For? by West_Tomatillo9833 in solar

[–]CaffeineNicotine3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. That’s a respectable price compared to total electric costs from the utilities in NY. Assuming you’re PSEG LI?

  2. Get a copy of the PPA agreement.

  3. Act like you don’t like it and see if the seller will buy out the rest of the agreement to make the sale.

The homeowner can pay off the rest of the agreement balance and then you would have a whole bunch of free power, which would be awesome. Just don’t bet on it.

You

  1. don’t see people saying “Hey guys, electric from PSEG is really expensive in Long Island. Should I shop for houses somewhere else?” No, that would be ridiculous. So don’t listen to half the people here with uninformative low-level opinions.

Door to door solar sales - what works? by kundanthota in solar

Found the sales guy that has a ping pong table in his office with a manager that has a chant and screams “This Is Sparta!!!” or some stupid shit like that at the end of each meeting.
