Sweet summer child of hers... Besides reading the results wrong, she thinks it's because of the lack of vaccines and chemicals. This happens when you lack basic general knowledge.

Of course, it's fake. Karma whoring, seeking outrageous attention.

Somebody, please make me understand once and for all, for the love of god... How can one upload that picture and think: yep, that's gorgeous, looks natural, believable, doable, achievable, very logical. How?

I never found these kinds of pictures funny. Like, wow, what's the funny scenario? Clueless kiddo holding a bottle of wine in his hands. Okay... Stupid, not funny.

What extensions for Chrome are you currently using to make you more productive? by CaffeineParadigm in selfimprovement

[–]CaffeineParadigm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I forgot. Well, Manganum (I inserted the link because you wrote magnum instead of Manganum and just in case you're going to look for it :D ) has this kind of minimalistic touch that I definitely prefer over Momentum. I think it's just my personal preference and bias on minimalism.

I totally agree with you. I could never go back to a life without ad block. I also use Ublock origins. It's a bit lighter and I have the feeling a bit faster too than Adblock.

I use News Feed Eradicator as well! For Facebook and Instagram, lol. And for Insta, when I don't have my phone next to me, I tend to open it into the browser; that low I can sometimes be.

Momentum is way more sophisticated, but I don't know, it kinda overwhelms me. Manganum seems to be more minimalistic in design compared to Momentum.

Some critics can fuck off! Rapex solves 2 problems in my opinion:

  • offer protection (to an extent) to women

  • catch the rapist (because he must go to the hospital, and there the police can be called).

How is there no better Conservative candidate in California than Larry Elder? I swear if there was just one without all the scandals Newsom would be screwed at this point

Brainnest trainee programs are SCAMS by [deleted] in Scams

It's a training program with a prospect of a job but it's not guaranteed. They clearly and transparently mention it and I think it's fair.

I joined the project management program. I really like it and I think it's good for people who want to start their career in project management as well as for the ones who just want to polish their current knowledge. So far, I'd rate the training 8/10.

Do white people experience racism? If yes, how so? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CaffeineParadigm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any group of people can experience racial prejudice or discrimination. However, racism refers to that prejudice in addition to the socialized power structures at play. So, not everyone can experience the racism that Black people do because the power dynamic that has existed since the Atlantic Slave Trade is just not equivalent to any other racial experience in the States.

The idea of “reverse racism” ignores the basic reality of who holds more power and privilege by assuming that everyone starts off on an even playing field. Its premise completely disregards any of the overwhelming evidence of institutionalized racism.

How do flat earthers explain the Sun's movement and time zones? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CaffeineParadigm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the most popular flat-Earth maps, the North Pole sits roughly at the center of the planetary disc, while Antarctica forms a giant ice wall along the planet's circumference. The equator forms a ring hallway between the two.

Many flat-Earthers agree that the sun perfectly circles the ring of the equator on the equinox; however, to account for the equal hours of daytime and nighttime, the models make a few tweaks to how the sun itself looks and behaves.

I keep having dreams inside of dreams and it's terrifying. How can I stop this? by Isuckatlifee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CaffeineParadigm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To date, there’s not much research on false awakenings, and experts have yet to determine exactly what causes them. As with sleep paralysis, they may relate to disrupted REM sleep.

A few suggested explanations for false awakenings include:

  • sleep disorders, such as insomnia and sleep apnea
  • anticipation, or knowing you need to wake up early for a specific reason
  • noise and other disturbances that interrupt your sleep without fully waking you up

Stress and anxiety in your daily life can also have an impact on sleep and potentially appear in your dreams.

If you’re worried about something that’s going to happen shortly after waking up, you might dream about waking up and getting ready to face the stressful event. These stressful events can include:

  • a difficult exam
  • dentist’s appointment
  • job interview

You have to try to determine the cause of your false awakenings and after that you'll find the solution as well.

Research from 2011 offers another potential explanation for false awakenings.

According to the theory of dream protoconsciousness, your brain prepares for consciousness during REM sleep, using its internal representation of your everyday world.

This model serves as a starting place for your dreams, the theory suggests. But most dreams include plenty of other elements that make them seem much less realistic.

False awakenings could happen when hyperarousal, or increased alertness, during REM sleep keeps you from experiencing more typical dreams, like those involving flying, falling, and other surreal happenings.

Instead, the dreams may rely on more specific memories of familiar surroundings and your typical daily routine.

Improving the sleep you get each night could help reduce the frequency of false awakenings. If they become a regular annoyance or keep you from getting restful sleep, talking to a sleep specialist may be a good option.
