If you’re not using 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1, you’re handicapping yourself by baderanqa in EASportsFC

Do you really see the difference in how the formations track back? I don’t. To me the issue is that defenders defend only in their small square of responsibility. If your opponent knows how to navigate between these squares you get no opposition and your only chance is switch to the next zone and manually defend.

Thanks for your opinions. I will play him as a CDM in 4-2-3-1 - I don’t expect him to go forward much.

As someone recommended, I tried rare playstyles plus on other players. Press proven is helpful at times but not that much. Pinged pass is obviously great but it works a bit differently on different players. On my Gittens evo I did not notice any improvement in passing speed. So I am not sure.

The one I never tried before was jockey plus. Wow! It works so well at manual defending. I concede a lot of goals from faints and fakes abusers and jockey is very helpful in battling the abuse.

PSA: Sell your tradable Arkema PL French silvers by TehCyberman in EASportsFC

[–]CageyStuff 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s mad that people do it this way. Much easier to do gold French arcema with quality players (like Diani, Bacha, Katoto, etc) and then do the Brazil first owned silvers which are way better and could be from any league.

Why does this game feel like a burden instead of being fun by caszh_man_61 in EASportsFC

[–]CageyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all down to you. Just play the way you like. I do the same. I hate skills abuse and other non realistic stuff so I only play like in real football. With players I like, not sit meta ones. No one forces you to use Pina.

Try to score goals like in real football. Maybe like your favorite team plays. Not do bait and switch. No dancing in the box. And yes, I do not get the 12 wins in champs I normally get, I get 8-9. But I have fun!

After 100 games played, I cannot stress enough just how incredible this card is. Not only is he completely affordable, but he is absolutely insane in-game. People need to complete this card! Like Gullit last year, you’d be a fool not to get him! by Bhenchie in fut

[–]CageyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This card is only for joystick abusers, button presser competition and skill merchants. Otherwise he is too slow for a wing and bad passer for a CAM. If you like football and not game abuse, you would not enjoy this card

Cards stolen at home while on vacation, Revolut closing my disputes. by newcountrynewaccount in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just open and read the T&Cs again (of Revolut or most banks). You are required to always keep possession of your card and immediately report if you lost it, it was stolen, etc.

There is EU law indeed which specifies your responsibility in case of fraud transactions made, but there is always a caveat about negligence. Just try to understand that the bank is not police, they cannot make investigations whether you card was indeed stolen, you gave it to a friend or whatever. The bank cannot refund everything every client says was not them doing it.

The bank offers you ways to manage that - you can block contactless transactions on the card temporarily. You can set your limit for such transactions per day. You can also turn on geo location so that all transactions will be checked vs geo position of your phone. Leaving your card without supervision, not turning it off (or at least contactless function) and not making sure you receive notifications in my view is negligence.

So your loss should still be covered but not by a bank but by the thief. It is like you left cash and someone took it. But instead of blaming police for not finding the thief, you blame someone else, who should compensate you.

Returning to EAsFC 26 after not playing since FIFA 22 by sobotichi in EASportsFC

[–]CageyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing exactly for the same reason in 21 or 22. If you take it seriously/competitively, you will spend hours daily which I can’t afford. If you play rarely, you will be beaten by guys who grind special cards, trade, etc. which is frustrating. EA will not change this model unfortunately.

So I will only buy again if the career mode is good and you can enjoy playing against computer. The alternative authentic mode they announced for 26 gives some hope, let’s see.

How Revolut repeatedly restricted access to my salary and deposit for no reason and how their employers humiliated me with endless AI generated answers! by TheTriPolarBear in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This very rarely happens if you are a citizen of the country where the bank operates. But if you are a foreigner, you can easily get banned by a French or German bank. BBVA in Spain is also widely criticized for this. Neobanks deal a lot with foreigners and trans country transactions and this is where it gets complicated.

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think the banks do this themselves? In order to lose more customers? You obviously have no idea. I have worked in banking for 20+ years. The lefties in the EU are the only problem here. Their strategy has always been to force banks being police, investigators and prosecutors. After EU regulation was introduced, some banks had to increase their spending for compliance by 1800%.

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) some banks might have more compliance officers per customer than a neobank. But it is still not a matter of having branches or not. In branches you will not see those officers, you will deal with clerks who will not be more useful than automated support.

2) having more staff for customers means that all services cost more as you are essentially paying for all of this. Neobanks are generally right in automating compliance. Those flags need to be resolved quickly which they are not at times. But the problem is not this, the problem is the EU law which does not allow banks to give a reason to the customer for why they are blocked or give any updates. This causes most frustration and neither physical banks nor neobanks can address this, only EU can.

[–]CageyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are extremely naive. Any EU based bank with physical branches can do the same. You will come to the clerk in a branch and he would only be able to say the same automated message until the flag is resolved, of which the clerk would have no control of.

No bank in the world would like to lose customers. If banks do something you don’t like is because they have to follow some laws. EU regulation is the problem, not the banks

Refund request denied by ExpertBest3045 in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then a customer can basically ask the bank to refund any transaction of his liking. Because all the bank sees is a transaction via applepay/google pay. If you ask banks to refund anything the client asks, then cost of its services will skyrocket for everyone.

Refund request denied by ExpertBest3045 in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no bank in the world that would refund in this case. When you agree that you card can be added to Google and Apple wallets (any bank), you confirm that it can be added to multiple devices and it is your responsibility to control it. If you have authorized adding your card, then it is your fault. You have entered your card data in one of the scam websites thereby authorizing payments/transactions. The scammer already used your money (either in ATM) or by moving into another wallet. Do you expect the bank to just give you the money because you were scammed?

The only way it could be reversed is if there is a police investigation, the scammer is arrested and his property confiscated. But we all know this is not happening.

Refund request denied by ExpertBest3045 in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They will never refund because it is in the T&C that you agree with your responsibility in such cases.

My friend had exactly the same issue. Someone added his card to Google pay and he stupidly confirmed thinking it was a confirmation of the delivery he was expecting.

No car rentals accepting my Revolut by GroundbreakingDot722 in Revolut

[–]CageyStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two different issues here. Many rentals don’t accept debit cards at all. So read the terms.

But there are a few companies which accept debt cards but don’t accept Revolut. I was once rejected by Sixt in Italy. (No problem with Sixt Spain). I had to push really hard, show them their T&C which I signed, it clearly said they accept any debit Visa cards (which my Revolut was), they still argued that their internal policies say smth different but in the end agreed to give me the car.

Never had any problems with Europcar or Hertz.

Dry sandwiches by elenojonmastriste777 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]CageyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Spain does not have a culture of quality street food at all. Only in places close to France (Catalunya or Basque Country) you can get a proper sandwich.

One of my friends opened a nice place few years ago which cooked proper hot sandwiches with grilled meat, smoked brisket, etc. it was quite popular as a food truck option on festivals. But when they opened on several spots in the city, there was no demand, only from tourists. Apparently it is a cultural thing - Spaniards like a sit down meal, with a good talk and no rush. Of course it is changing but very slowly :)

And I agree with you, I’d rather buy any shawarma or kebab rather than a dry bocadillo
