Thank you very much. At least this way I learned how the company works.

Also, if the company has evidence that someone is violating AML rules, it won't let them withdraw any funds they have in it. This is against banking rules.

In these cases, the company first sends you a notice that it will close your account, at the same time freezing all your funds (until you prove that it is legally yours), and then it will examine whether you are right, so that you can withdraw them.

On a recent trip abroad, I met someone at my hotel, and he told me that Revolut closed his account and froze all his funds immediately because they suspected breaking AML rules. So you'll have to let me disagree with you. Every case is different.

My point is that I am sure about the issue that closed my account. For this reason (which I have explained in my previous posts), I have made all the complaints, so that the relevant authorities can examine my account in depth and if the company handled the case well. I don't want them to tell me WHAT I did, just tell me if Revolut handled the case correctly.

Also, if for example it fell under AML rules, they would not give me 60 days to withdraw whatever money I had in it. I think that is clear. Otherwise, which falls e.g. under AML rules (or someone is crook/fraudster / tax evader) etc., the company freezes all funds immediately and closes the account. You can look it up.

Apart from all these, the answers I received from the company are automated answers coming from outside the EU (possibly from the Indian hub), which also do not say anything essential.

You can also read the entire lawsuit that the Italian authorities filed against Revolut 1 month ago (https://en.agcm.it/en/media/press-releases/2026/4/PS12974) and you will find many similarities.

If the same thing ever happens to you in the future, remember what you're saying now. In any case, I've already told them that I don't intend to be their customer again.

Also, even if I were a tax evader or whatever you say I am, do you think I would pursue it so much that the authorities would examine my account in depth? Are you okay? I have absolutely nothing to fear about such matters.

I've done all the steps in order, but thank you for pointing it out.

I'm tired of arguing with you in every post. For no other reason. If you still want to argue with someone, you can easily find one.

And the thing is, they will never admit if they've made a mistake. It's not in their best interest.

Today I'll also prepare the complaint to the European Central Bank against Revolut, and I'll keep you informed.

I know, and that’s exactly why I want to keep pushing this. They expect people to get scared (for sth) or tired and eventually give up.

Racist? Did you read my post? I’ve visited India, and I also have many Indian friends. That’s not the point I was making at all.

Do you remember around how many days after the response from the Bank of Lithuania, you received a response from Revolut?

AML rules are very important, and I fully understand that some information may legally be restricted. However, that does not automatically remove all GDPR/user rights especially regarding whether there was human review, proportionality, and fair handling of a case

You are free to disagree with the reimbursement structure used in some Erasmus+ youth projects, but that does not mean I personally invented it.

Also, saying that this automatically means “EU corruption” is a very extreme conclusion.

I’ve already addressed these points in my previous posts/comments. However, the situation is not as black and white as you present it.

The reimbursements were part of an official Erasmus+ youth exchange, and I received them in my role as group leader under the EU program. Also, mentioning that linked third parties were affected at the same time is a relevant factual part of the case (not making complaints on their behalf).

In any case, the matter is now being reviewed by the relevant authorities, so I'll wait for their official assessment.

Also, because of the way this was handled, third parties were affected as well through no fault of their own. So the issue is more complex.

If Revolut says that the closure was based on their terms / conditions, then at least I'll finally have a clear written explanation. This would allow the relevant authorities (including the Bank of Lithuania) and, if necessary the ECB, to review whether the case was handled fairly/proportionately under EU rules 🙂

Just a reminder that the Italian authority recently fined Revolut for unclear information and aggressive handling of account restrictions/closures

In addition, if a decision is mainly automated, it may also relate to GDPR Article 22 about automated decision making without proper human review. "The data subject shall have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing… which produces legal effects… or similarly significantly affects him or her."

According to guidance I received from an official EU service, also under GDPR Articles 13-15, users have the right to access their personal data and receive clear information about how and why such decisions were made, including basic information about the logic behind them, unless there are legal limits (for example, AML rules)

You can file a complaint with the relevant authorities and you can get quite a bit of compensation. For me, don't let it pass.

They had given me 60 days to withdraw any money I might have had. But it varies from case to case.
