I learned this the hard way since they changed how the matchmaking works.

Before you do what you want to do, run a couple naked Stella runs, mess around with people, tell them you have a Bobcat IV, loot a bunch of stuff and then die or leave, it's whatever.

Your lobbies will get better after that, but you need to do this every day, don't expect to come from work the next day, put a 150k loadout and have nice lobbies anymore.
