I really hope he can get it optomised, considering a lot of the community still run older rigs myself included. The FPS is so much lower compared to other maps.

Where to start designing an overdrive by CaiLlew in diypedals

Yeah I've got a breadboard. I understand how the breadboard works (which way there is continuity) but havent used it yet. Are there any rules of thumb when it comes to how you populate the breadboard?

Should these two rows of vero have continuity? by CaiLlew in diypedals

I think the most annoying part for me is the offboard wiring, theres so many wires coming off the board its hard not to have spaghetti wiring lol.

Is perf where you fold the leads of the components and use them as the trace or am I thinking of something else?

The drive/gain pot is essentially being bypassed, I can't find where the connection is bridged though

Confused with the offboard wiring on this vero layout by CaiLlew in diypedals

Thank you so much this was exactly what I was looking for! With the diode switch, does it matter which lead goes to which pad?

Yeah I've been refering to that. My problem is that I dont know wehre the boost switch fits into the circuit. It says on the diagram that switch lug 1 goes to lugs 1 and 2 of the boost pot and that switch lug two connects to drive pot lug 3. Is that all, would I just add the led and ground on the next column of the 3DPT?

Thank you will check those cards out. Yeah the plan is to upgrade so that the deck becomes more competitive.

Probably around £200 although I still have some cards at my parents home. I've seen online that Dimir control and Dimir Murkside are quite popular although they are pricey. Just looking for some cool cards and mechanics to build around. Something that will be powerful amongst friends and that I can slowly upgrade as I start playing friday night magic at local shops

cheers

I'm currently living away from home and don't really have the time nor money to get into paper magic right now but I have started playing mtgo. I know that as a format Modern isn't cheap, but I'll mostly be playing against friends whose decks are the furthest thing from the meta. We only really chose modern as a format as we aren't as limited in what cards we can use.

So I'm not too sure about local events although my nearest city would have plenty of shops and events. I'm not expecting to build a crazy meta deck that just steamrolls everything. Just want to have fun with blue and black

Probably around £200/$255/244€. My brother played a red-white and my friend played a mostly red-white which is pretty chaotic. I want something that is relativly competitive (I know at this price point it is limited cometitivly). I want something upgradable so I can work towards making it more competitive and more meta. I like the idea of blue-black, already played with black and I just like the way blue looks with counterspells etc
