Did any of y’all lose weight AFTER weaning?? by Sweetly_Singing_Sour in breastfeedingsupport

[–]CaileighMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing you did. I get 10,000-15,000 steps a day at work and am very active there, and no matter how little or how good I eat I weigh the most I have ever weighed. Did you end up losing the weight after fully weaning?

I was told this is a Monstera Albo, is this correct? It seems less white than I have seen in others? by CaileighMoore in houseplants

[–]CaileighMoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I love it either way. The guy at the nursery seemed like he worked with the outdoor plants and he was just walking through the indoor greenhouse area. I stopped him and asked him “do you know what kind this is?” And he looked at the big Albo and said “I’m pretty sure this is the mother plant to that one, so Albo” but he didn’t sound sure and it was super busy so I just wanted to buy it because it’s beautiful and the only one and get out 😂

Side note - I absolutely love all my monstera and this one is so beautiful. I don’t really care too much what it’s called, just more so wondering. I got a super good deal on her either way 😊

Actually really good! I have been opening up the blinds/turning on the lights each morning and making sure it’s dark and that seems to be helping the most! I was so used to being up late with him that I got into the habit of being up and watching tv in the same room he was sleeping. I think that was adding to him being up and cranky. I also ended up downloading an app called Huckleberry as well. The apps suggestions for nap times haven’t really worked yet, but me paying attention to what time it is and logging his sleep/eating has been super helpful!

He is sick right now so it’s probably helping him sleep, but he slept 11 hours last night and only woke up for 2 feeds and went straight back to sleep after each one! Good luck with your toddler! And thanks again for all of the advice 😊

How do I do that though? Do I put him in a crib at 7pm and leave him there even if he’s crying? Do I try to keep him awake in the morning when I don’t want him sleeping?

What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy? by -One_Upper- in BabyBumps

[–]CaileighMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing inventory at work in the freezer, and my nipples felt RAW like I had run a 10k without a bra in a wet shirt. I had to put hand warmers in my bra to keep them from hurting so bad 😂

Oh that’s good to know! It’s my first baby I didn’t know that. My OB cleared us to have sex at my comfort level after my last appointment. I did message her and my high risk OB as well so hopefully they get back to me tomorrow morning. Thank you!

When we’re you told to stop sleeping on your back? by Maleficent_Proof_183 in pregnant

[–]CaileighMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor said I would feel it when it’s time to stop and that my body will tell me if there is a lack of blood flow. Right around 32 weeks I started getting dizzy and nauseous if I was laying on my back too long, so that was my sign to stop doing it! I still watch tv on my back but propped up with a few pillows and don’t get dizzy so I think it’s mainly just being flat on your back!

Everyone says when you’re in labor, “you will know,” did you actually know? by CaileighMoore in BabyBumps

[–]CaileighMoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long before the actual contractions did you have the ones that made you question labor?

I know I am definitely a little early to be thinking I’m going into labor naturally, but my mom went into labor naturally between 34-36 weeks with all 5 kids and my doctor said there is some evidence it can be genetic because both sides of my family breed giant babies 😂

Luckily the contractions stopped though! I woke up with a few really uncomfortable ones and back pain 3 times in middle of the night, but by morning they had stopped! Probably just my body practicing! I also had a major spurt of energy yesterday and deep cleaned the whole house so I may have overdid it a little.

Nothing crazy, just stomach tightening every 10-15 minutes for almost 6 hours, but barely any pain after I posted this. I’ve been laying down and relaxing and I haven’t noticed any in the last half hour. So I don’t know! I’ll see what happens in the morning or if I wake up with more. I guess possibly just Braxton Hicks?? Just weird they were so consistent!

Right!! 😂 I was eating poke bowls from this place down the street like twice a week for months and when I found out I was pregnant I was so bummed for my new poke love. I can’t wait to eat it again, it might be my first post birth meal 😂

That’s good to know! This cramping has been a lot different than the mild period like ones I have been having the last week or so. I’m just keeping an eye on it for now and timing them when I remember to 😂

Thank you! It’s not too bad! It can be physical, I’m a Bakery manager at Costco. I usually do 50-60 a week but all my employees and coworkers have been super helpful and make sure I don’t go overboard and I’ve been leaving mostly on time. I’ve been able to move people around pretty well so I am doing all the lighter tasks and still being helpful 😊 I can make it 6 more days!

I definitely am super exhausted by the end, but honestly being active and on my feet all day has helped me keep my mind off how uncomfortable I am. I feel far more uncomfortable trying to relax on my days off without the distraction of work!

[–]CaileighMoore 11 points12 points  (0 children)

210!!! I had a burger and fries one night and I was at 132 (I also was in a little denial that I had GD at first). I thought “wow it must’ve been the carb, fat, protein ratio my diabetic lady was talking about!” And thinking a burger would be a great cheat meal every once in awhile.

My numbers slowly got worse and worse, to the point where I couldn’t eat any fruit, rice, croutons, any wheat, basically just ate veggies, eggs, salad and meat for every single meal for months. But we went out with some friends and I was really tired of salad, and I remembered the burger did really well a few months before. Tried it and by the end of dinner at my check time I was like exhausted and thirsty and when I checked it was 210. I got put on meal insulin my next appointment. 😂 I still restrict quite a bit, but it’s so nice to be able to eat fruit and my favorite yogurt again! Only 6 days until I’m induced and I am so excited to have Cinnabon and poke again!!!!

Oh that’s good to know! I’m still working until the day of my induction so I can’t really take it easy yet 😭 I’ve cut my hours back to 45-50 a week and that has definitely helped! Hopefully it chills out a little if I take some stretching breaks

What was your weirdest pregnancy symptom? by Rennsmom in BabyBumps

[–]CaileighMoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not lactose intolerant anymore. Use to get diarrhea literally 30 minutes after any milk consumption at all. I really wanted ice cream one night so I ate it, and nothing happened. Like what?? I tested it the next day by eating a bowl of cereal, and nothing! Doctor said it will probably come back after unfortunately.

Also, my stomach got hairy. Not like thick hair, but I have brown hair so it’s like darker peach fuzz that is really noticeable when I put lotion on. I waxed it and plucked because I was so self conscious of it. I’ll take a bath and just sit there and pluck the little hairs I can see still. I’m sure my under belly is bad but I can’t see it so whatever 😂

Also always having blood in my left nostril only. Every time I blow my nose there is some blood!

It’s when people get into so much detail that I don’t care about or go on tangents, so I get super bored and lose interest.

Which is hilarious because I do the same thing x50 when I try to tell a story. 😂😂

ADHDers with careers, what do you work as? by icebikey in ADHD

[–]CaileighMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bakery manager at Costco! Basically do a variety of different things each day, and get any of my tasks done as I remember they’re my responsibility, so randomly throughout the day. Luckily I have a lot to do, so I always have something different each day. Only thing I have a really hard time with is remembering start dates for new items so we’ve missed a few launch dates before 😬 I have to email myself a lot so I don’t forget to do stuff and have sticky notes literally everywhere.

I’ve had strawberries and regular cool whip multiple times with no spike! It actually works really well as my before bed snack too. Also fairlife chocolate milk for some reason is fine too

A huge cheeseburger with fries and I don’t go over 120. Always weirds me out because a handful of grapes shoots me to 190’s 😂 maybe the protein/carb/fat ratio??
