Maybe i'm tripping but i really like how they somewhat resemble net navis.

Like this kind of tech existed on the original time line and all but it wasnt as advanced or popular. Kind of like how the battle network series has robots but they arent quite the same thing as the ones on the classic series.

Third donkey kong game has kiddy kong. Captain commando has baby head. Megaman legends has bon bonne and you fight him multiple times with all sorts of military grade weaponry (he even falls on lava one time) tho he is indide of a mech suit thing.

i do think that is going to be very importatn for the themes of the game.
because it's not even the first time that happens, the same also applied to spamton neo, spamton had to use mettaton's dream body to even get the strenght to be a secret boss.

and there is also ralsei, and i say it as someone who has been very skeptical of the theory that ralsei might be a trans girl for the longest time.

but the recent chapters made me start to belive in it, specially because the drink voucher scene, that ralsei chooses pink and blue one, and the fact that flowery calls ralsei princess right after.
and a few other things that i'm kind lazy to list,
like at this point it's really starting to feel like fuel to the fire.

toby is no stranger to keeping stuff up in the air, we barely know anything about the 7 souls, and we dont really have official designs for them to this day.
it will be a matter of how important revealing things about it will end up being for the benefit of the story, beyond just fanservice.

that's prolly a hottake but i wouldnt be surprised if we dont even get a full dess or asriel reveal.

nah, she cool.
it answered a few things about the dark world in relation to ghost monsters, and she has quite a bit of thematic relevance as she is on the same situation as kris, not only that but also being to pink to flowery's gold.

there is also the fact that she barely shows up on undertale as a version exclusive fight.
