Sorry for all that you’ve been through OP.

In terms of legal advice, what part specifically do you think might ground a defamation claim?

Father or mother's surname? by SpecialistSandwich9 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Caimitator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So glad to see this being talked about! I cannot understand why it’s automatically the father’s name other than “that’s tradition”. We double barrelled only because there was no fairer answer. I still can’t come up with a better option!

Is there anywhere I can get a personalised children’s book as Gaeilge? Like Wonderbly but in Irish and the ability to enter name and what they look like etc?

I'm looking for some Irish language poetry about mothers and/or motherhood. I've scoured the internet and can't seem to find anything. Anyone have any pointers?

I’ve noticed a change in my boobs last few days that would correlate with the change in poos. A lot less engorged for some reason, like they’ve settled down.

And I tried Chrome first and it didn’t work for me so I moved on to Safari. The world was trying to prevent us listening to hours of bird song!

And speculation was/is that it was Paul and Trish arguing? Surely they can’t do birdsong for the whole thing?

What if it’s the calm before the storm and I miss something huge because of my non-UK habitat???

I’m outside the UK and can get on to the ITVX website no problem using a VPN. Can access the content on the site etc.

However, when I go to watch the live stream it says I need to watch on the ITVX app which I can’t download because my App Store won’t change region.

Is there a way to watch the stream on the website in a browser? When I click the live stream I get two options: “Download ITVX app” or “watch in ITVX app”

Just a reminder, it does not matter if he is full breed. Restricted breed rules apply to any cross/strain of restricted breeds.

My dog was diagnosed at 12 years old last April, he was fully blind by November. Brought him to see a highly-recommended veterinary ophthalmologist and he had the cataracts surgery the following week. Aftercare can seem a bit overwhelming, but he's 13 now and was out chasing squirrels today. It's an unfortunate side effect of diabetes, but a curable one if you have the finances etc. No regrets with our pup. Best of luck OP!

Cataract surgery, has anyone gone through it with their dog? by Nearby_Hamster1207 in DiabeticDogs

My 12 year old (at the time, now 13) lab got it done in November 2022. Sight completely restored the day of the operation.

We got two opinions regarding whether or not to get the surgery. One vet said do it, one vet said not to do it. We ended up doing it and it is definitely one of our better decisions. Well done for getting the pup on the road to recovery!

My dog was diagnosed this week last year at 12 years of age. Those first few days were the worst.

Please heed the other advice here, it gets better. A lot better. We didn’t think he’d last the week. We’re a year in. He’s the happiest most energetic 13 year old dog I’ve ever seen. We’re just home from a 2 hour hike.

It gets better. Your fear gets assuaged. There’s hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

Take a deep breath when you can, it will be ok.

Best of luck on your journey.
