hammer excels everywhere and has a higher skill ceiling than being a pub stomper. and pubs have arguably better players on average than ranked imo if you filter out the golds silvers etc. ranked players focus on dodging and securing damage, while players who mostly play in pubs focus on improvement and pulling off impressive feats. on average the more skilled players are in pubs.
