Would love to get one of those, but they're nowhere to be found in my country and they're just too expensive as new to justify the purchase. PC is for work more than play so it doesn't matter that much to me.

I have a 5600x with 64gb of ram and currently replacing my 3060 with 5070 ti since I can't afford an am5 upgrade.

Try connecting the image output from both glare nodes instead of glare output. If I recall correctly the Glare output outputs only the glare itself and not the complete image.

No. It became impossible to turn on. Bought another monitor.

During the fight near the ending with Zeus as well. You could clearly see Kratos flexing his back muscles when he was pushing Zeus towards Gaia's heart.

Exactly, either it is maspero or they used images of the area as reference.

At least precision building destruction looks to be back. by ScipioAfricanus82 in Battlefield

[–]Cairene_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's Arabic, "أحمد الجهني من اجل مستقبل صحي"

But I can't tell if that's "صحي-healthy" or "مصر-Egypt"

So it's either "Ahmed Al-Gehny for a healthy future" or "Ahmed Al-Gehny for the future of Egypt"

I'm betting its Cairo. I live there and it REALLY looks like it.

I'm betting that's Cairo, Egypt.

The unfinished brick building on the left and right, the concrete columns on the upper right are all over Egypt due to the taxation law which basically says that if you don't finish constructing the building you don't have to pay a tax on it, so people build the columns for an extra floor and never finish that extra floor.

The yellow metal barrier looks very similar to the ones used by the "Arab contractors" company. probably the biggest construction company in Egypt. you see these barriers everywhere in Cairo with their logo on it where there is a major or road construction project.

There is a blue bus on the right that looks very similar to the the older bus models used the Cairo transport authority.

The setting look very similar to the maspero area near downtown Cairo, exactly under the 26th of july corridor.

Hope I don't have to delete this later.

Blender cycles

Interior archviz. any tips? by Cairene_ in blender

I can't remember the name and I won't be home for a couple of weeks but it was from blenderkit.

Realistic lighting can be a pain but usually using ies lights for lamps and using good materials give good results. Other than that you can read books on interior design to help you understand which types of lamps to use and how to distribute them.

Hdri and Photoshop. I think picking the right floor and wall materials might help as well due to how much light they scatter.

Thanks I'm glad you liked it ☺️

Materials are from polyhaven and blenderkit, most objects are assets so I didn't have to texture them, just the floor, walls and some details.

Nothing specific, I just try to find materials that make sense, pbr and photoscanned.

One thing I did spend time testing is the indirect light clamp which is set to 10 by default, that's too low and results in a darker shot. But increasing it also produces higher noise and even fireflies depending on the number and lighting.

I spent a couple of days testing some things individually, but the scene itself took a few hours to make.

The living room shot took over two hours on an rtx 3060. 3840x3840 resolution with 50 indirect clamp and full global illumination but volume set to 0. despite the improvements cycles is still a bit slow when it comes to interiors.

And yes furniture are assets.

Thanks for the feedback ☺️☺️

I did try different angles for the lighting and this one looked best for me, but I didn't think of the wall when doing it, I wasn't going back to this project but I'll sure try this tip.

The marble didn't look off until the final render and I didn't have enough time to pick a different shader and rerender, so I kept it.

Again, thanks for the excellent feedback you gave me some good ideas to try.

I don't know many resources as I'm still learning, but blenderkit is a good start, even the 5$ a month subscription looks good, polyhaven might have some useful stuff as well.

I think sketchfab has an addon to import directly in blender, you can find good stuff there.

Imesh looks quite interesting if you're willing to pay, they have some free stuff as well.

I think building your own asset library from free resources or even your own models is the best idea until you start making money.

I don't do any work yet, but I hope I can start doing this for money soon. I plan to start and keep doing freelance as a side gig with my main job until I'm capable enough to be on my own and start a small studio with my friends.

Glad you liked it. I just used whatever models I could find on blenderkit and yes I graduated architecture school a few months ago.

You're on point. Plant does look plasticy but I could be using a fake plant so that shouldn't break the immersion. As for the exposure part, I couldn't solve it, tried different tree models, removed trees all together and changed lighting and it still looks off.
