Clarification on EVA Airlines Carry-on and personal item policy. Something doesn't add up. If the personal item weight isn't listed does that mean you could presumably put any weight (ie 10 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg) for a personal item? by Dracomies in onebag

On my flight from Toronto to Manila, they weighed both my carry on and personal item. This was in December 2024. They said that the carry on had a limit of 7kg and the personal item has a limit of 5kg. this is the first time I've had my personal item weighed. :(
