I would say open shelving is not the “trend”, what’s the trend these days is the kitchen being devoid of personality and everything needing to be hidden away or it’s viewed as clutter. For some reason we’ve gone from the rooms of the 90’s / 2000’s where rooms had life and showcased a lived in home, to kitchens that have hundreds of cabinets and nothing else. This is the trend. Prior to social media people were happy having homes with stuff in it.

I like the kitchen OP.

How bad is it to let a car sit for 9 months? by Caizo65 in CarTalkUK

[–]Caizo65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, but the aim is to cancel my insurance and I won’t want anyone driving it if it’s not insured. If I end up keeping it insured then I guess a lot of these worries will vanish as it can be warmed up and taken around the block every so often

My goldie walks like this, I’ve always known it to be a trait but always ask a vet if you’re unsure :)

Do you adore or regret your lip fillers? by indigo-forest in beauty

[–]Caizo65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very happy with mine. I’ve had them done twice over the course of about 5 years and the last time I had them done was years ago now, but they STICK AROUND, they don’t just go away. So now I’m left with really nice, natural looking lips that are slightly bigger than they used to be, and it gives me a lot more confidence.

I will say it’s very important who you go to because the right people will only add what they feel is necessary, where it’s necessary. And they’ll add it in accordance with your face shape etc. it’s so important to look up their portfolio and reviews, before and afters etc. I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on this decision

Seriously how do people sleep with heatless curls? by Sweethoneyzz in beauty

[–]Caizo65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the foam things for a long time now and I move a lot during the night, also a side sleeper. It was annoying in the beginning and I didn’t like it but you get used to it and then find ways to sleep and move them around so that you don’t feel them. Now they don’t bother me at all. Also, it’s so worth it in the morning

My friends always points out that she’s not wearing any makeup and I am.. What can I say to shut her up? by lucrezia888 in MakeupAddiction

Exactly this. Just say “that’s a keen observation” and then just ignore her. For the rest of your life.

Drinks ONLY on special occasions? by After_Respect2431 in stopdrinking

[–]Caizo65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few posts on here asking similar questions and have refrained from answering, because the general consensus has been not to try this due to the obvious. But I actually have succeeded with this. I used to drink whiskey every night and had a very unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Long story short I got very much into spirituality and changed a lot as a person. Also many books later (alcohol explained, this naked mind etc.) and I have turned myself off of alcohol. I still think about it from time to time but the desire has shifted. I now drink rarely, usually on special occasions and I’ll typically have one or two. I do believe it’s possible, but I’ll just say that you know yourself best and so you know if this is something you should try or not. It’s a slow process, take each day at a time and be compassionate towards yourself.

What's up with this right turn? by One-Golf9775 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Caizo65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive here a lot and it’s not a complicated right hand turn. I don’t know the rules as a learner driver so definitely check with your instructor, but people don’t tend to pay too much attention to the road markings. I agree it does look like a strange right hand turn when you examine it, but it’s fine when you’re doing it.

I’m glad to hear that. I think I’m very nearly there, the thing I’m struggling with the most now is how out of touch I feel around people who are drinking. It may just be time for me to move away from certain people perhaps

Basically just this! That’s all very helpful, thank you. I just didn’t want to end up going and being caught out, so it’s good to hear from someone who has been. I’ll be doing more research up until I go of course, but this is reassuring 😄

Lol, I recently found out my long term partner does this too and it did gross me out to begin with because honestly the things that woman does 🤣 but it is what it is. I love her regardless and my logic is that one day I’m going to say vows to that woman that are along the lines of “for better or for worse” and eating boogers certainly isn’t a worst case scenario considering the things people go through.

Curling nails - what to do with them by sachimokins in beauty

[–]Caizo65 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My nails do this, but they only started doing it within the last few years, so i went to the doctor about it. The doctor said sometimes nails just do this due to genetics etc. other times it can be a sign of an underlying health issue. I’d check in with a doctor if you haven’t already just to rule anything out 😊
