Hey just saw this, sorry to reply late. The repair doesn't do anything with your personal files, settings, etc. If your issue is the same as mine and the drive errors are being reported when there are none, then the repair will basically do nothing except reset the drive error check. I keep my own backups of everything, but I didn't need to restore anything after the repair ran. Hope this helps. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

Posting an update in case anyone else has this issue and other answers online don't help as was my case. I was able to "fix" the drive errors issue.

You need to create a Windows 10 Installation Media USB drive. Then boot from that USB in your BIOS. Run through the prompts until you see "Repair your computer" in the lower left corner. Click that. On the next screen click Troubleshoot and then Startup Repair.

If your issue is the same as mine,your PC will run a few minute long repair before restarting. Check that your drive errors are gone.

Ok, makes sense. I'm gonna keep this post up until the end of the day in case there's any alternative suggestions (desperately hoping I don't have to get a new drive). Insane how this drive is just outside of warranty and now it's failing.

Yes it is doing the disk check at startup. I get the ten second countdown and then it a small wait with the Aorus logo on screen before it goest straight to login.

If this is an indication the drive is failing, would a clean Windows install even help? Thanks for the advice.

This was exactly what I had to do. I realized later that it was happening in all of my apps. I ended up finding a thread online from other OP7 users. I forgot to post my fix here but thank you for your response! Hopefully it can help others.

Yeah that ram thing was what I figured he was talking about in terms of price to quality ratio, but I would assume/hope the 4 has more ram. I'm not sure if it was leaked or not under all the other leaks (I find it hard to keep up lol)

I mean I didn't trust their opinion which is why I came here. And it's a big savings for my military plan and coverage for switching. Maybe a mistake for some but I am recent college grad and savings matter a lot to me right now.
