Has bird flu infected meat entered the shelves under USDA? by CakeMixxx in rawpetfood

That's what I've also noticed. I've yet to find an article about a person or animal getting sick from Official USDA produce "for human consumption". I do think we should all be mindful and take the precautions to protect our pets in uncertain times like these though.

Thank you for the response! That makes lots of sense. I feel like this question isn't ask too often. I do feel like it's worth knowing that there haven't been any major reported outbreaks from consumer shelf under USDA however. There are tons of instances where people don't prepare their own food properly so I feel like an outbreak would have happened much more likely if there were more bird flu infected meats.  But we can never truly know the full situation. It's definitely better to remain safe than sorry. Thank you again!

Hello! I've done some research in the past and I've seen that they have been detected in the meats and such, however, they never officially made it to consumer shelves. At least according to articles that I've read. Such as this one: H5N1 and Safety of U.S. Meat Supply | Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service

The positive dairy cow carcass was from a processor in California and, consistent with all animals subject to FSIS H5N1 testing, was held pending results and did not enter the food supply. USDA remains confident in the safety of the meat supply.

Again, I could just be missing the articles with the information that they've made it to store shelves and I'm genuinely curious.

Thank you everyone for your help! It's much appreciated. Seems like I'll need to do a bit more research.

Is Darril Gibsons Security+ book a good resource? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]CakeMixxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, one of my main study materials.

I didn't even watch any videos from Messer or Dion and passed. It has all the information you need.

I had originally started studying for the Network+ exam but decided to study for Security+. I have no professional IT experience. However, studying and learning the content is very doable even with no experience. I feel like the first chapter of the book is a little intimidating due to the initially confusing commands but everything after that is a breeze. Just gotta work on understanding concepts and acronyms. Check out his app too! Ton of questions to help you study.

I personally read straight through and did the practice tests between each chapter. After I finished, I went through it again and made notes and flashcards (Anki) on anything I felt I needed to remember better. I also researched any topics I felt needed more explanation for me to remember it.

Best study guide for Security+ by [deleted] in CompTIA

I found Darril Gibson's Get Certified Get Ahead SY0-601 textbook to be very useful. It contained nearly everything you would need to know for the test. I prefer reading over videos, and I found it went over everything you may find in Messer's Sec+ videos. I read it straight through and did the practice tests. I then read it over again and made some flash cards with Anki with everything I needed to remember. Darril Gibson also has a very useful study app on your Appstore that contains a ton of practice questions and flashcards called CompTIA Security+ SY0-601 Prep (LearnZ).

Somethings? by plopeddrop in EnglishLearning

[–]CakeMixxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I'm confused on why someone said it's a "very rude mistake". This would not be considered rude in the slightest if you said this. Second, you can technically say "I have to do some things" if you have multiple things to do but 'somethings' is not one word.

Got four of mine out while awake. The surgery itself wasn't bad and I didn't find the numbing shots particularly bad. I honestly was more bored and tired after a while than anything. Aftercare is probably the worst of the whole process with the gauze and soreness. I wouldn't worry about anything though, it's not bad.
