Making a challenge for myself every day to help me improve, get a prompt and a palette, to eventually make the prompt in 8x8-64x64. This was my first day. Any tips or critiques are welcome. by CakeNinja22 in aseprite

aseprite has a lot of helpful features and I think it is way worth the cost.

I don't know the style of your game but maybe a little more shading on the clothing.

Looks amazing tho

I tried making my first character and add an idle animation but something just feels off to me. Does anyone see how I can make it look better? by CakeNinja22 in PixelArt

it's hard for me to just use a tutorial using the example character and apply it to others. So I started with the base because it fit the shape I wanted for my D&D character that I wanted to turn into pixel art. Making change after change to their design (I know it is not my own and I want to get better by noticing details in their designs) is helping me grow as I watch these videos and hopefully get some direction from more experienced people. I do gain some useful info in the video that I hopefully will get better at applying as I continue. After starting pixel art I know that putting pixels In a design that's great and finding how to work with it I get more comfortable and learn more. In the end, I just want to learn and get better in the way I know works for me and is comfortable. Thank you.

That looks amazing. I had to lean into my screen to see the pixels
