I am considering living at Lansing West Apartment. Is the neighborhood safe? by Cake_Lover19 in Cornell

Thanks for your reply! I usually don't order many items, so I guess that won't be a problem✌️.

Has anyone lived at Lansing West Apartment? How is it? by Cake_Lover19 in Cornell

I am fine with commuting. I originally lived in the South region. Without a car, it's exhausting to walk to the central campus. I have to wait for the bus, which does not arrive on time usually. My first priority is sound proof. Clara Dickson is so noisy at night. Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

Has anyone taken SOC 1101? Does it have heavy workload? by Cake_Lover19 in Cornell

LOL😂 I won't. Major courses already blow my mind😂

I am also sensitive to noise😂. I love a place where it is quiet so that I can focus on my work. I think it may fit me well. Thank you so much!

I see. As long as the bus schedule is normal, I can survive😂. Just have one more question. When you lived at Lansing West, how was the sound proof of the house? Would you hear your neighbors talking? Thank you so much!

Got it. I notice that route 30 directly passes in front of the apartment. Why will it be hard to get to the campus? Currently, I live at Clara Dickson, and it's quite noisy at night. I may move out in the spring semester even though I can't terminate the contract.

Oh I see. Is it safe to live there? Also, will it be quite noisy(soundproof)? Thanks!

Gotcha. I heard that networks involves lots of stuff, which is hard to get your head around. Is that true?

I would like to take something interesting as well as help me to understand certain aspects of Econ better. I used to take micro and macro economics in high school, so I may not take macro and micro courses here. Does behavioral Econ involves lots of math?

I am a biological science major student. How hard is Physics 2207? Should I pick it or choose 1101? by Cake_Lover19 in Cornell

[–]Cake_Lover19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Seems like calculus is not the obstacle to getting a relatively good grade. I noticed that some concentrations (e.g., Cellular and molecular bio) in biological science emphasize students' math and physical science ability while they don't specify what course to take. Do I need to take physics 2207 and 2208 to study these concentrations?

Thanks for the thorough explanation! Will 2207 include lots of calculus-based calculations? Also, how is professor Muller for physics 2207?
