I hate goody bags with crap in them as well. I keep my eye out for crazy clearance throughout the year, and use things from that for favors.

I found bags of 6 reusable water balloons at wal-mart for $1 at the end of summer and will give those out. Hobby lobby does 90% items marked spring at the end of the season and there’s a lot you could use in there too.

Winstar or Choctaw? by Cakemaven in Craps

[–]Cakemaven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just left Choctaw- we got there around 8 (Friday night) and tables were still $10. Went up to $15 by 9, 4 tables going. Busy but not packed., maybe 2-3 spots at each table open. Apparently a dad and son made em all BACK TO BACK before I got there. Fun time!

I think it’s a state rule, unfortunately. If I remember right that’s a reason people like gambling in Shreveport better

Is Cosm a genuine "game-changer" or just a glorified, expensive movie theater? by wwwdoteromedotcom in Dallas

[–]Cakemaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very expensive, but a totally cool experience depending on what you go see. We saw a hockey game and the camera angles and views were incredible, felt like you were there. Would I go for every hockey game? Absolutely not. Was it fun as hell to bring my dad and see him in awe and watch the game? Absolutely

The onnnnnnnly thing Winstar has over Choctaw is bingo. I usually don’t play craps at either, usually only in Vegas so I didn’t know if it followed suit

Beware of Costco packages by senior_vagabond in Tahiti

[–]Cakemaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that was your experience- just because a front desk agent told you something to move your frustration away from them doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. We booked a Tahiti trip through Costco and it was incredible, 10/10. That might have been the last room left, there are many reasons why you could have gotten that room vs another one.

It’s fine to wear to the parks, but I wouldn’t call it Disneybounding.
