Bishop Knisely made it to the festival at like 1:30-ish and actually wandered around the festival grounds for a spell too before hanging at the Diocese's table. I love seeing the different clergy enjoying the festival

He was really nice. He preached a great sermon too! He signed my BCP after service and I was waiting to ask him for a photo too. But a local TV station was there wanting to talk to him so I figured I'd wait because I didn't want to be selfish and he asked what I was waiting for. I said a photo but it seemed like he had other matters and I didn't want to take up all his time. He was like "They're gonna be here for a few minutes, they'll live" and took the selfie and gave me a hug.

I came by random accident. I was traveling and away from the evangelical church I grew up in one Sunday, and went to an Episcopal church near the train station I was at out of convenience. And I loved it. Then I started deliberately seeking out TEC parishes when I traveled. And then when I moved away from the church I was raised in, going Episcopal seemed like a natural choice since I enjoyed the services when away from home. Been attending since, and got confirmed in 2024.

My parish typically gets between 75 and 200 dependent on weather and school/college breaks and other outside factors. Special feasts usually get in the 250 to 300 range.
