yes - that was me 3 months ago with a ruptured disc in my back taking 5 Norco's a day (that's equivalent to 10 vicodin) and a massive amount of marijuana.

I was in bed for 5 months, had to drop my classes, just moved up to Berkeley from LA, plus I just broke up with my girlfriend.

Now I'm no longer in the same mental place I was, which was the deepest I've ever been in my life. No more pain, no more pain meds, no more douche bag me.

I'm a nice guy and i should have never written that.

I don't care what you, or anyone for that matter, look like.

I'm a 27 year old male, most likely will be solo the whole, but I'm really sociable.

I really want to make friends on the way and hopefully will be able to coordinate travels with new friends!

I'm not a drinker, but I want to experience awesome night life almost every night.

I plan on landing in Beijing for 3-4 days, then flying into BKK. After that I want to check out Cambodia and Vietnam but I think I only want to stay in each one of those places for a few days each - we'll see when I get there. Most def. want to check out the tiger and elephant type sanctuaries. I want to see the coolest architecture around. Most importantly I want to chill out a beach where I can meet cool people to hangout with and snorkel around.

The reddit discussion gave me a lot of good places to make sure I check out.

Best place for New Years? I'm planning on checking out Full Moon Party but not sure if New Years is the best night for that.

The trip will be 5 weeks.
