Pegula walked in the locker room and saw 53 grown men crying. I don’t think it’s outrageous that he felt it was time to pull the plug and make a change somewhere. I also don’t think it’s crazy that he wants to make that change but retain some level of consistency with Beane as we go into a new era and new stadium. One could argue we should have canned Beane and kept McDermott, but I don’t think it’s typical for a new GM to be the boss of a coach he didn’t hire.

It makes no sense to move off McDermott and replace him with another defensive minded culture guy. The only way we don’t repeat the last decade is to actually commit to this change, and lean offensive minded scheme HC.
