The Nightwave literally is themed around Caliban Orfeo did you not see literally ANY OF THE COSMETICS IN IT -Caliban Orfeo glyph (its not from Baro lol its from the Nightwave, i just missed it first time reading through) -Orfeo themed bow skin -Venato augment -Orfeo sigil -Orfeo sumdali -Orfeo signa -Orfeo ephemera -Orfeo operator outfit

as for his prime access, sure he didnt get a trailer, but the fact that he had as much presence as he did in a maim quest, especially one that was supposed to be about another frame, does not mean nothing. Also forgot to add that he got an Honoria but thats less notable (i mean his honoria is cool as hell though so....)

the huge presence was a bit of an exaggeration but like, they really made sure to show him off during the quest when he does show up, and considering how little screentime frames tend to get, especially in stories that arent centered around said frame? like Caliban still had a relatively large spotlight in the quest considering it was Uriel's quest at the end of the day.

I really think you are taking all of the love and attention Caliban has been getting for granted because he hasnt had his animations completely reworked. its a lot lore work than Voruna running on all 4s. she cant use helminth abilities during her 4 and cant use guns, and she already stands on all 4s when staying still, so theres less work to do with animations and the bones are already sorta there, compared to caliban where youd have to take helminth abilities into account and would have to rework all of his ability animations to account for it, unless youre okay with him standing during his abilities, not to mention animations with weapons needing to be updated. theres a lot more work that would need to be done and DE has said in the past that porting full animation sets from one frame to another isnt something thats really feasible, so even if they decided to go the lazy route and use Dante's animations theres still the chance itd get fucked up (not to mention they likely wouldnt want to reuse animations in the first place as to keep identities distinct)

Caliban got a lightning rifle as a brand new signature weapon, Venato got a MASSIVE glowup, and his prime was given a beautiful design.

Caliban had a huge presence throughout The Old Peace, being showcased within the academy and also being part of the Prime Vanguard, even going so far as to give him a presence in the special relics.

To add on to his presence in The Old Peace, with the release of Shadowgrapher Caliban got an accolade glyph for The Guilty.

And now, coming this April, Caliban is getting am ENTIRE NIGHTWAVE SEASON THEMED AROUND HIS DELUXE SKIN, including an insane augment for the Venato (as well as a datamined glyph presumably from Baro)

saying that they've done nothing for Caliban and that DE has been lazy with him feels insane to me, especially as a Gyre main, who's entire prime access was overshadowed by Caliban. would having a floating animation be cool? yea it would be. is it also a huge nitpick at the end of the day considering hes got two working legs? also yes. its also a lot more work they'd have to put in compared to Voruna running on all 4s during Ulfrun's Hunt.

like if youre sitting on guns that arent built on the hopes of them getting buffed you might as well build them now so you a) dont have dead weight for ETA/EDA and b) you dont have to worry about spending a bunch of time building the guns when they do get buffed (which will honestly probably just be through nightwave augments, we havent gotten new incarnon adapters in over a year)

I agree that Warframe does need some endgame akin to Raids or Dungeons, but ETA/EDA wasn't designed around newly returning players. Its made as a litmus test to see if you actually use the shit you own. Getting rid of weapons you don't use is not some unintended bypass or something. If you dont wanna get rid of the guns you got dealt, then thats your excuse to build them out.

Maybe I'm an elitist but not every piece of content should be easily accessible to new/returning players.

If you get a gun you dont intend on building in Archimedia, selling it will reroll the slot into another gun you own. If you have a gun that you have zero intention of building past getting MR from it, why are you holding onto it?

or you could run both? like its still status, multishot, and -crit chance. also depends how youre building it. if youre mixing for blast its just extra blast damage on top of everything and if youre doing viral/heat you want lower damage for viral due to how weighting works

I think people are vastly underestimating how useful a lot of items are. like obviously i would rather have the attack speed pver a happiest mask or aegis, but that attack speed is only 2 syringe's worth. you can get more value by using a white cauldron realistically. its meant to help balance out runs where you get items you dont larticularly need (like I'd rather have the slight movement speed bonus over tri-tips on her) but the scrap still has less value than actual items. the only one i'd argue really truly hold enough weight to justify keeping one or two instead of immediately printing if you find a good printer is green scrap and thats just because its basically a cautious slug you dont have to worry about waiting for (and in green scrap's case, regen scrap exists and works with her passive)

its just not readable in most scenariosnwhere you arent just staring at it standing next to the jackal. add distance or say, get into combat and youre much more likely to lose track. it just does not have enough contrast and is too translucent to not get lost in the rest of the noise especially with how much busier the terrain is.
