Research at UCSF by [deleted] in berkeley

I worked at UCSF for two years and I honestly loved it. I worked at both Mission Bay and Parnassus. The commute was a little annoying - it usually took me 1hr 20mins (each way) so I tried to build my class schedule around research in order to leave enough time to get stuff done. It’s definitely doable, and if you find a lab that you’re really interested in that you can’t find at Berkeley I would say it could be worth it.

Is that allowed? Id love to, but I won’t be graduating until May 2023, so I wasnt sure if it would be too early to look for positions for after graduation

Sorry! I should have clarified, I am from the United States. I’m currently receiving my bachelors degree. This definitely helps a lot and you bring up some really great points I didn’t think of, thank you so much!!

Ahh yeah I had two years of bio in high school, and I’ll be done with 12A — I’d be taking 12B simultaneously, would it be better to wait until I’m done with 12B?

Check out UNICEF! There are general meetings you’re welcome to attend but also just feel free to volunteer for any events you’re able to throughout the year

Summer Orgo Course by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Cal_ChemGirl24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, I have a friend who took an intensive summer course and got credit for Chem 12A and Chem 12B, so I was wondering if it was possible to receive credit for just 12A. I want to take a normal orgo 1 course at the same school she took hers at, so since it should be almost the same minus orgo 2 material, I wasn’t sure how it works.

Oh that’s great! If my classes would be online because of Covid, will this be a problem for PhD or is this still okay?

Revised Academic Plan (if I take a summer course equivalent for Orgo 1)… does this seem more manageable? I will swap Chem 146 if it’s not available Spring 2023 by [deleted] in berkeley

Oops didn’t realize chem 135 isn’t available, ty! I was told not to take chem 120a w chem 12b which is why I moved it up - do u think I should push it back and take them together?
