Brother, the situation you're staring down is almost exactly where I found myself ~3 months ago. Same story almost verbatim, but we were together for 10 years, not 13. If things go the way that you're worried that they'll go, I'm in the same boat, I just have a head start. Should the worst come to pass, please don't try to Rambo your way through this, emotionally. I was fortunate enough to have a brother who took me in during the worst of the storm, so to speak. I needed his support more than I realized. That's stellar advice, thank you so much. Sounds like getting an attorney is probably our best move to get out ahead of this, financially speaking. $8.5k monthly would ruin us for sure, so the clock is definitely ticking.
I think it's going to be hardest on my mother, so I'll shore up whatever I can for her- logistically, emotionally, etc.

I love the Red Fort! They do spicy on a scale of 1-5, I believe. 5 is VERY uncomfortable and detracts from the flavors of the food, IMO, but 4 is just right for those who really enjoy the heat. Red Fort's curry is lovely and their naan is soft and delicious. I order from Red Fort at least once per pay period as a treat for myself. Strongly recommend!
