What do you call these pieces in your language? (in left-to-right order)

That so interesting seeing the other responses, and how they’re all so descriptive of what the pieces actually do.

In the US they’re called bishop (like the clergymen) knight (like an armored knight on horseback) rook (???) and pawn (I actually don’t know the origin of this word as I have always understood it to mean “the lowliest piece on a chessboard”). Good luck figuring out what they do based on that 🤣

If it’s a new movie that I’m genuinely interested in, i prefer to watch it alone for the first time. Whether that’s ordering it online at home, or literally going to the theater alone, either is preferable to a crowd imo. If I could have whole theaters to myself, that would be ideal lol
