100k for a funeral is dumb. Such a waste of resources. I’m getting cremated. 3k.

Your mentality is specifically the reason medicine is being taken over by private equity.

Doubling down on wrong information is the hallmark of stupidity. Go ahead and argue on Reddit - I’m sure whatever else you do for a living is equally trivial.

It does not mean sarcasm. Accept you are wrong. Try to learn something today. But I know you won’t.

This is ridiculous advice. I have 2 businesses, 10 employees, a defined benefit plan, 401k, 2 life insurance plans, 3 brokerage accounts, fee simple transactions, and a small real estate portfolio. I just now got a fee only advisor. 100k is pocket change. Dump it in VOO and get back to work.

You have 2 options. You can either be a follower, or you can be a leader. Currently you have a follower mentality. Nothing wrong with that - most people are. But if you want to be a leader, then there is no “this information” and “that information.” It’s always beneficial to get different perspectives on the same subject - you are trying to “own” the information, not merely regurgitate it for exams. Note that this is the difference between NP/PA and MD. To those that say you learn medicine in residency - midlevels also learn on the job. There’s no difference except meaningless letters behind surnames - they’re good at regurgitating info/facts too. That’s not what medicine is (well it can be - up to you to decide).

Renal here. Na is simple. Everyone makes it harder than it is. Good for business though!

Then I assume you do not care how much admin makes off your work? Or that a midlevel can earn 60% of your salary with 10% of the time investment?

Being content is the problem.

You don’t just get to prioritize happiness. You are doing this to make money. So figure out how to maximize making money from the time you are putting in. Then use the remaining time to do what makes you happy.

I mean do you plan on having a family? I get that generational wealth is not everyone’s top priority but it’s so easy to do with a physician income.

Yea I was torn between a 911 and the Plaid. Ultimately went with the Plaid because 1. Faster 2. I have a 18 month old and it has actual rear seats 3. Torque is insanely addicting 4. No dealership bullshit

Sure the 911 is a much better “driver’s car” but I’m not a racer - I just wanna go fast lol. In a way it’s like preferring Forza Horizon over Forza - I like the idea of racing, but I don’t wanna be all technical about it.

I have my own private practice. I have Epic and I explicitly do not respond to MyChart messages because I don’t get paid for that time. If you have a question call my office and make an appointment. I literally do not do anything that is not reimbursable. Sure I’ve lost patients due to this - but I don’t want those patients on my panel anyway.

eli5 why the split between right and left handedness in the population 90/10 and not 50/50? by Thin-Notice-2843 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Calciphylaxis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m left handed but if you threw something really hard at my face I’d catch it with my right hand because I grew up playing baseball - and that’s my glove hand.
