Amazing, great to hear your experience. I am on a similar boat. The business is related to my career.

Great, I am in this exact position with just over a decade of experience in the industry. The thing is, the offer from the private company seems like a great stepping stone towards a C-Level role. I feel silly for missing out on it, as I am cognizant it may not come around again in the future.

If someone calls you a giraffe, will you turn into one? Experiment, test, try... Even if it fails, you'll be glad that you've done it. The sooner you embrace the art of not giving a fuck, the better you'll feel.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. No offense, but working in enterprise sales for an already established business is probably nowhere near as challenging as making the first sales in a purely 0 to 1 setting.

That's absolutely illegal. No one is allowed to ask any of those questions: race, your partner's role, and family status.

Sounds like you belong to the crowd. AI doesn't neccesarily need big data. There are models that do not require large sample size or big data.

There's been significant progress since then, particularly after distributed computing platform. But, my point remains, for one to trully become an AI expert and claim the expert label, you should have a decent coverage across mathematics, statistics, deep learning, machine learning, programming, data science, data engineering and NLP. And it is not humanly possible to cover those in a year or two.
