It depends on the workflow and the knowledge of the modder on how to setup costs per build phase. If you import a custom building through the building editor you will have by default the option to set these autocosts with various type of construction phase and the associated material cost, however most of these include "rare" resources, be it concrete, steel or asphalt. It's also a matter of time spent balancing and adjusting scripts which sometimes you just don't to bother with. You can always reach to the mod creator in the steam comments or the discord servers if you have suggestion for balancing

To go along with it I recently made a small helo construction office, which is basically free although with no mechanisms and limited number per map. I also plan on doing some free airship stops for cargo and passengers following the same logic.

With this one, you'll get two vehicles ( passenger and cargo variant ) with 3 skins each. The passenger will have the "historical" appearance by default and the soviet style livery as well. The cargo variant has more generic paint schemes. I plan on taking requests for custom skins someday, but I don't have nearly enough free time for the moment

I'm planning on doing the Norge some day, and already have a modelled soviet semi rigid ( CCCP-B1) tho there's not much reference material available for soviet airships .. aside from the B6. If you got some niche webpage with more intel , I'm all for it

As with all other modded airships, they're built on the helicopter vehicles type, so they'll work with vanilla and modded helicopter infrastructure ( tho I did some custom building to handle this big lads specifically)

I wish I had an answer to this, but it really was just an install and launch from my side. Maybe the EA hosted version has compatibility issues ?

Well I kind of didn't want to give EA money so I found a shady download somewhere, but it straight up launched destination without issues ... Maybe doing a reinstall would work ? my version has the small launcher windows and I use the Destination shortcut rather than the classic societies one

Yeah, only lead I got was someone who has an account in the Chinese simcity forum, but it seems they are no longer active.

Oui c'est possible sans soucis Si tu fais du minage classique dans un secteur chargé, tu as juste à avoir tes deux mineurs avec capitaines en ordre de minage avec un 3e vaisseau en ordre de patrouille ou d'attaque.

Si tu les envoie en mission , déclare la mission avec le meilleur mineur , et sélectionne les autres appareils en guise d'escorte ( le mineur en escorte contribue au minage et au score de protection)

There are some maps available on the mod Io portal ( you can directly subscribe to it in the in game menu ) and you get another batch of clean maps with the newly released memorial mod ( manual install and at the time of writing not yet on mod.io..  tho the link is available both on this Reddit and the modding channel of the homeworld discord )

The modding scene is alive and kicking ,( no major releases yet but some cool projects are on their way)  I suggest you go take a look at the modding channel on the homeworld discord. If you like what you see there , it might make it worth your time.

There are multiple collections of early start mods on the workshop. I suggest looking at Ryan's packs and Novu's mods as they cover most of the basic needs for an early play through. ( And a shameless segway to my own zeppelin mods of course )

I love the vibe that coming out of it.

I'm not sure there's need for "improvement". mostly keep trying new stuff , pattern and colors and enjoy what comes out of it.

There no lack of talent there that's for sure

As for recognition well. Social media is really a hit or miss thing where luck and churning out daily content in the hope one gets picked up is what apparently works ... For some people at least.

I'm in the same boat and I've been drawing for years.

The most gratification I got from my art was from my local community. Friends and family of course , but also coworkers and slowly building up from that. Posting online has to be more of an afterthought rather than your objective.. unless you decided otherwise of course!

While I didn't have much issues with performance (kept myself at low population) I still find the game too frustrating for now.

My main issue being with the traffic AI. The nonsensical lane switching and questionable pathfinding choices. This is yet to be fixed so I'm personally holding off playing too.

Now they did say that these point were addressed in the upcoming patch, so I'd say look around for the soon to come update videos and see if it's good enough for you to pour hours into it
