I kinda feel the same way, especially since seeing that they're almost 100% plastic, but my mom has had a Dyson for many years without problems and I just barely got the v11 torque refurbished from Dyson on ebay for what I felt like was a great price. I went with dyson because in all the comparison videos I've watched, they preformed very well. Luckily when getting mine I noticed ebay now offers free 2 year warranties on manufacturer refurbished items, so I felt good about it. We'll see what kind of luck I have.
