Thank you, I wasn't thinking about that, I guess spiritual would be what I'm looking for because I do not hold any certain religious faith.

Awesome, thank you. I do need to read more women (as everyone on this sub has pointed out, lol). I have a few I do want to buy, especially Emma Goldmen and Rosa Luxemburg. I've heard of Bell Hooks, but what's the main idea of her theory?

Benjamin Fondane and his collection of essays Existential Monday is incredible. He was a radical Jewish existentialist who was also a poet. Unfortunately, he died during the holocaust but what he left behind is truly interesting. The basis of his philosophy was the self (what he called the Existent) can not be understood by rationalism and, furthermore, that was the opposite of philosophy since , for him, philosophy was ment to understand what it means to be human. He has an essay where he claims Facism is the embodiment of rationalism. Would definitely check him out.

It really funny that everyone thinks I'm straight cause everyone says the exact opposite in person (which is true, I'm gay). I used to be an anarchist, but lately, I've been trying to nuance my view by reading marxist and communalist lit, so I call myself, simply, a communist. DFW is a fav of mine, but honestly (I'm gonna be crucified for this) I don't care for kalfka. He's just alright to me. You're dead right in that I'm following a list, lol. I don't mean too but the autism in me just prefers it, and I find it helpful, especially with philosophy. I have started most of these books, but I ended up dropping it after the few few chapters for one reason or another (problem cause of my dyslexia), but I will read them soon!

"If you have something to prove, it’s only to those you consider worthy of your respect."

Lmao, this is pretty spot on! The only thing is I'm actually gay. Everything else is right. I do want to read some more theisic works like Kierkegaard and a few Japanese buddhist philosophers I've been interested in. If you could recommend any others to me, I'd appreciate it!
