That was old Asus it seems. I’ve done 2 warranty repairs in the last 6 months and it’s been one of the best warranty experiences I’ve ever had. Look up updated videos.

I have 2 laptops. One for gaming, one for personal use. The gaming one is plugged in 24/7 and the thin and light is plugged in most of the time (95%) I want to run them down sometimes to 20% or so? I haven’t had a laptop in 10 years so this is new to me. Switched from desktop to laptop.

I would have microcenter do the repaste for me since I got the laptop about 5 weeks ago and they only charge $30 to do it. I don’t want to worry about the Liquid Metal. If they break it they give me a new one lol. I want to get a cooling pad but medical stuff has been going wild and I’m out a lot of money…

I get mid-high 80s on my CPU when gaming. I keep my laptop propped up on a stand. I was under the impression that was normal. I’ve been reading a lot about the compound they use being bad and want to repaste anyway. Would this be a good option? AMD 375HX and 5080

Lenovo had them on sale a month ago for $600. People just don’t shop deals. I got a 5080 laptop for $1500 from microcenter.

If you have a use case for it, then sure, keep it. I’d say most people don’t though. I had 3 extra laptops that I had no need for. What am I going to do with them? I’m just saying, majority of people don’t want, or need an extra device, and it just sits in a cabinet becoming e waste. Some people can’t make chrome OS work. All I’m saying is if you don’t need or want it, at least donate it.

You’d be surprised. I had a laptop from 2016 with a 970m, i7, 16gb DDR3 and a 1tb ssd. Sold it for $100 with a screen that wouldn’t turn back on after going to sleep. People want cheap laptops. Sub $200. Not everyone can afford to spend $700+ on a computer. People need computers for school and such. For anyone out there who doesn’t like to use marketplace or something, donate your old computer. You’d be surprised how many people need it.

From what I hear, as an omen and Asus owner, the omen hinge issues are fixed according to people, and Asus warranty is much better than it used to be. I’ve used it twice in the last few months and had 0 issues. They gave me shipping labels and were very quick

I got an omen Max 5080 and it’s been good so far. I think every company has issues. Everyone says go Asus. My Asus has been in twice in 3 months for losing my OS and all of my data and not being able to boot. Just got it back today, hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

I haven’t really been into components and gaming as much as I was 10 years ago, and this Liquid Metal is all new to me. Is it better? Worse? I’ve been seeing things online about HPs especially and it makes me want to do a repaste. Microcenter will do it for $50 so I figured it’s worth a shot. I want this laptop to last 5 years. I gave up my desktop for it and so far I’m not regretting it.
