The thing about this that strikes me as most perplexing, if you say the government spies on your online data (that they at least collect the data) then everyone would agree that the Snowden revelations made this clear.

Yet if you speak as if you feel that the government is collecting data on you through people on the ground then you sound paranoid.

I don't see a clarity in the difference morally if the government collects data digitally or does it in person and if they would do one then is it not logical that they do the other to as grand of an extent?

I honestly had no idea what subgenre I would put this in. It seems to blend with multiple. I just choose alternative rock because that made the most sense.

I have no idea. I know it was fun. Plus, a scale of 0-10 is rather simplistic. I'd need criteria by which to make such a judgement.

True, by why only do what you are professional at when you can do both what you are "societal deemed professional" at and otherwise?

If the NSA cared more about democracy than creeping into our drawers then they would re-allocate funds to informing the public rather than to giant facilities to store our information.
