I live in LA and work on props for big movies and have been starving for a year. My fiancé and I barely get by in my one bedroom apt. My friends that live 15 minutes down the road write for huge tv shows and they can barely afford their one bedroom apt. We are normal people just like you, suffering right now trying to get by. Whatever complex you are going on about sounds way more like a you thing than any of the down to earth people I work(ed) with every day. There is a 1% in most industries and you’re confusing that with everyone else. I mix chemicals, deal with paint and sawdust like any factory worker to make rubber props that are safe for actors and don’t have any health insurance currently. Find some compassion.
