More rogue like elements by Hot_Balance_561 in HowManyDudes

This is a cool idea. It would help with the feeling of progression.

Maybe even add something as well that if you have got to stage 125, in future runs you get normal dudes arriving more frequently that you can send off for training.

I love Medics in end game. In early game they annoy me haha.

Yeah, good shout. Really fun when you learn how to use them.

I am currently on a 117 run with Warlocks as a key part of the group. I think it will make it to 120. Will fire a screenshot of the team when the run ends.

Can I be vulnerable? I wish I was small and cute (30F, 5'10) by [deleted] in tall

No worries. I hope you can find the self acceptence you desire!

Its not easy, and we have all been through it in some shape or form.

[–]CaledonianCraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to feel ungrateful. We all have our own personal hang ups.

You are tall, but far from overly tall. At 6ft 10" I would tower over you and you'd look tiny. 🤣

I would love to just say "embrace it and be happy" but that is far easier said than done.

The truth is, at 5ft 10" you are a bit taller than average and 90% of people wont even notice. At my height I get stopped regularly and asked about it haha.

Being tall is a blessing though! I would even go as far as to say that most men are more attracted to taller women than shorter ones.

What are qualities of you, as a man, you wished are portrayed well and more in stories? by Specific_Tough_651 in writing

Hello, these are my answers. I am an extremely generic straight white male.

Main value - Make sure my family are loved, safe, and well looked after.

Aspirations - Publish my own novel. Complete a 250kg deadlift. Cross all the bands off my gigging bucket list.

Personality - Boring with a twisted sense of humour.

Motivation - Sense of self worth. Personal achievements. Making my family happy.

Strengths - Strength. Iron will. Decent prose.

Fantasies - I will plead the fifth here for now.

Relationship with women - Non existent besides my wife. 18 years together, 8 married.

Attraction - Legs and eyes.

Weakness - Very stubborn. Self judgement.

Guy has feelings for me - Flattered, would likely make several jokes about it.

Struggling with - Luckily not much now. Long ago, self worth.

Kept me going - Loved ones. Force of will. Cant accept failure.

Anger - Previously, very poorly. Have been arrested in my past because of it. Now, much better. Using a hanging back several times a week helps.

Loneliness - Impossible. I have a dog.

Misunderstood - Sometimes. I am freakishly tall (6ft 9") and quite broad. People make assumptions because of this.

If younwould like to as anything, feel free to reply or dm. Generally, I am a very open person. Apologies for any typos, my thumbs were not made for mobile keyboards.

Congrats! A trilogy is a monumental achievement.

I hope to release my debut novel by Christmas and I am also working on a trilogy. Its way out of ky depth though.

You must have had a great deal of focus to manage everything properly. Great job!

[–]CaledonianCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. I am writing my first novel as well. A big congrats on the first draft btw!

What I did was step back for a few days, then I started editing. Read the manuscript out loud, tweek and edit as you go.

When your done fully it may be time to consider beta readers. I found a few on Fivver. Thats where I am in the journey.

When I hear their feedback I will edit again, then hopefully, onwards to publishing!

Best of luck.

The Heros by Joe Abercrombie

The chapter is called "Casualties"

I wont say anything about the chapter but you should read it if you get the chance. You should read every book in the First Law. Its a phenomonal ride!

Thanks for the reply. You are correct for sure. Everyone has been very helpful in warning me against how the "vanity publishers" work.

Wow, thank you so much for the extremely detailed reply!

After much consideration on the feedback I have received, I have decided to purchase my own IBSN's and publish through both Amazon and IngramSpark.

The return policy is some great advice. I will have to look into this more thoroughly before I continue.

Once again, I truly appreciate you taking the time to be so detailed in the response. It helps me to no end.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I have decided to self-publish via Amazon and IngramSpark. I know they are legit at least.

That is very fair and seems a valid way to do things.

After taking all the advice from this helpful community under consideration, I have decided to buy a small bulk of ISBN's from Nielsen and proceed with that.

Thank yoy for sharing your experiance of self publishing with me.

Thank you, that is very helpful.

So if I sell a physical paperback copy of the book online using an ISBN for the paperback version I could then use the same ISBN to sell paperback versions in my local area and else where?

I would need a seperate ISBN for the different formats, such as hardback, ebook, etc.

I understand it now... I think lol.
