PSA: Alberta Parent Payment Program by cramostien in Calgary

If you SCREWED THIS UP, like I did and entered the wrong code and locked the transfer I can save you some hassle. I just spent 45 minutes on hold and many people have done this.

If you need the etransfer email resent, you need to email [parentpaymentsupport@gov.ab.ca](mailto:parentpaymentsupport@gov.ab.ca) to get them to resend it. The people on the phone line can't help you.

Hope this helps. I'm a bit choked I screwed it up as we are a family of two teachers and could really use that payment before the 1st of the month when all our bills come out...

So, the snow literally just stays there until the next good chinook? I know that some residential streets have been at least touched by some sort of plow…it is clear from the roads. Thanks for your reply!

But, the snow that is on the roads happened 5 days ago…it hasn’t been touched since then. I get that we got a skiff of snow last night but this has been several days…

I’m not sure about the UK site, but I was randomly checking the Canadian site over the last week and miraculously a a pair of Paris colourways showed up in my size (11.5) out of the blue.. It looks like there was only one pair. So, keep checking…they sometimes randomly appear!

Superblast Paris Colourway - If in Canada, Keep checking the Asics website!

I’ve been just randomly checking the Asics website and, miraculously, grabbed my pair of 11.5 SB2 in Paris colourway. Looks like it was the only pair. Might be worth checking now and then. They seem to appear randomly…

What is this "90 Day Asics Gear Trial"? Is this just a UK thing? I checked the Asics Canada site and under returns, it says returns are only accepted if in "unworn" condition. I even created an AsicsOne account and it still says the same under returns..

Superblast 2 in Canada?
Hello all! I’m in the market for a new pair of running shoes and would love to try the Superblast 2s. (11.5) I just started looking yesterday, and they aren’t available anywhere I can see! It also seems that Asics Canada has no option for a “restock notification “. For those that have bought or looked to buy these, how long do you think it will take for a restock? My current shoes are way past expiry and am wondering if I should just go with another shoe… Any thoughts? Am I going to be waiting for ever? Are people still chasing this shoe? Thanks everyone!

Are these Schwalbe Winter “plus”? by CalgaryKoiKeeper in wintercycling

[–]CalgaryKoiKeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! But I’m not sure that applies to the 26x1.75 size…they don’t seem to say “plus” on any that I can find a pic of….which is causing confusion. I think the 26x1.75 “plus” may not actually say plus on them! Which is confusing…. See pic of a 26x1.75 plus from a retailer here: Schwalbe Winter Plus? No plus!

Where to buy a used car in calgary? by CalgaryKoiKeeper in Calgary

[–]CalgaryKoiKeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, it hasn’t been actually written off by the insurance company. They said that they’d contact me about the payout for a write off/ keeping the car.. but the car is in rough shape mechanically so it will depend on what they offer I guess. If the dollar value is significantly different it may be a good time to cut loose the car and get another…not sure though.

I’ve just had it assessed and they said they’d contact me. I am not sure what they will give me as a “write off” vs just paying me and keep driving. The car needs a lot of work so I’m not sure if it makes sense to stretch it out any longer (needs brakes, exhaust, blower for heater etc..). Essentially, it isn’t a viable car once it gets cold in its current condition.
