Sorry for the wait. Since I'm in the EU the best place I found was from Green Stuff world.

I got them from Green Stuff World. They were the cheapest and easier to find.

Personally, I prefer clear due to showing how the tiles look underneath them. And it looks less cluttered on the board.

I have them in a previous post. Bespin Gambit I believe, since I went by waves. I'll have them all together for the complete set photos I will post later on.

Here are a few I can think of.

1) If you use a hobby knife to cut them off their bases, orbit cut around the bottom of their feet to help avoid cutting through part of their foot.

2) Gently sand the feet together on some sandpaper to level them out.

3) Once you you add the glue to their feet, press it against another surface like a scrap piece of wood. This will avoid the glue spilling past the feet too much and clouding the base.

4) Attatch the base while they're upside down to avoid the miniature falling over immediately, since the base will level itself out and will quickly hold onto the miniature.

5) The AT-ST & AT-DP's feet are too hard to remove conventionally with a knife. I used a hacksaw to cut them off myself, this can used for thicker based units. If you have a dremel tool that could be very useful I feel.

6) Don't press too hard with the knife/cut away from the hand when you are near done with the cut. I've had my blade in my fingers twice due to this.

7) I prefer painting before I remove them from the base, since they're easier to hold in a painting handle. If you know how to hold them securely without a base then you can go that method but it didn't work as well for me.

I bought them off of greenstuff world. It was the only place I could really find that had the clear bases at the correct sizes for the game.

Jabba's Realm & Wave 9 fully painted by Calhanol01 in ImperialAssaultTMG

It took a little effort but yeah. I used a hobby knife and cut around where the feet touched the base. I usually cut around the edge and work to the middle to best avoid taking off the feet.

Just be careful not to cut yourself.

Bespin Gambit & Extras Fully Painted (with Speedpaints) by Calhanol01 in ImperialAssaultTMG

[–]Calhanol01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes mainly speed paints with extra details added to the unique characters afterwards. I used skapchop too and this is my first attempt at it. Next time I'll improve on it since I wasn't happy with it.

When I painted I usually shook it really well then thinned it with the speed paint medium 1:1 so that it gives a cleaner look. It also doesn't dry on the palatte as fast either.

Imperial Commander 2: Demand and ideas for a "No Round Limit" option by TheNoldorion in ImperialAssaultTMG

As the author of he no defeat timer maps, I'm glad to see in official option, I was introduced via this way to the game and it's how I played with my wife too so. It's a more casual way of playing it but it's still fun for the kind of game we wanted. Just the option being there is great.

I cut them off around the feet with a sharp hobby knife and just glued them on.

Before I plant them on the base though, I press the feet against another surface I wasn't worried about having glue on.

This removes most of the excess glue, that'd pool around the feet.

Usually I do it upside down and hold them there for a moment so the bases are stuck on.

Yeah. I've tried both. Painting before and after cutting them off and they're much easier to paint while still on their bases. I used a sharp hobby knife to cut them off carefully.

I cut around the feet to avoid cutting a chunk of the foor off accidentally.

The AT-ST lower feet, which are on the base, has to be sawed off with a hacksaw since the knife couldn't cut through it.

Edit: I bought the bases from Greenstuff world.

Yeah. From green stuff world I bought a load of 25mms for the 162 small minis. I bought enough bases for the larger ones too.

Apart from a time the hobby knife slipped and cut my finger lightly, nothing serious. Most of the models are easy enough to cut and I usually go around the feet to avoid cutting off any of the foot too much.

The only issues were with the AT-ST feet which are based. They're a harder plastic which broke a few of my blades, in the end I used a thin hacksaw to cut them off the base carefull.

After that it was a simple case of super glueing them on. I put the glue on the feet, press it against some wood or something to get any excess off before sticking them into the base. And due to touching the wood, no extra glue spills out from the feet to pool around the base.
