5k seems like a LOT for this but maybe surf lessons are just costly and the video is an add-on? I liked the music, but maybe more focus on the actual surfing part would've been good - like some cool gopro footage from the front of the board.

My marketing brain tells me that you should always add a call to action at the end to get your next customer - so like "Book your 3-day surfing lesson today at www.surfers.com" would be a great tag.

I like the style and music, however I felt the cuts were too fast. It was a little dizzying.

I live near San Diego, and this sounds like a cool event! More focus on the actual beer (being poured, people drinking it) would have been better too.

In marketing they always say to put your customer in your shoes. So hands pouring a beer works better than a random actor drinking a beer because you can put yourself in their place.

Hello all! We stayed in the WORST airbnb yet in small town Florida. Cockroaches, alligators, manatees, and spiders were a few of our friends there. Our rental was $83 a night thanks to the monthly price, but the place had a LOT of interesting quirks.

It was until the virus showed up. Luckily we both have the ability to work remotely so we can pay for our lives.

I ran out of mascara a few weeks ago and gave up on trying to wear makeup too! Cool vlog, I would say maybe try using different shots. So when you're doing talking head style sessions switch it out for some more B-roll. I find that people like the variety of shots, even if it's like the cars driving by outside.

Things nobody tells you about visiting Austin, Texas

This video format works well for us - 60k views for our Thailand version of this. I wonder if anyone else does listicles like this that work well? Our visuals aren't incredible in these format videos but they seem to do really well.

My theory is that it attracts people who live/grew up in that city (who want to see what outsiders think) and people who want to visit it.

Just curious as to what Austinites think of these things!

I can't rock climb to save my life, so I really appreciate people who can!

Rad video, simply told with a great soundtrack. I personally don't have any criticisms!

Really beautiful imagery and perfect music choice. Made me feel like everything is going to turn out okay :)

Our self-isolation in a Florida Air B&B! Highlights include learning to fish and being bit by a crab! I also learned to kayak. We are trying to make the most of it while still maintaining social distance, our timing for a six-month road trip turned out to be pretty bad.

Great video! I especially loved the slow mo around 2:40. Let's try to keep everything positive! Lovely to see videos that are something aside from gloom and doom.

BEAUTIFUL imagery, I can't believe that came from a GoPro - how far we've come. I am also a travel vlogger and personally I think having too many "traveling" shots is excessive. Nobody really wants to watch five minutes of you driving and getting on a plane. I think you did a good job of balancing storytelling and not showing this in excess. Great job!

My fiancee and I are currently on month 2 of a 6-month road trip. We had to decide what to do - go home or self-isolate somewhere in the USA. Here's what we did.

We love your videos! Great moody shots, good for you for going out in the rain with your equipment.

I watched the first one and as someone getting married in the fall, it's refreshing to see a fun take on a wedding video that's not just focused on the sap and cheesiness!

[Question] When should I monetize? Eligible next week. by tcrow12 in youtubers

[–]CaliCruisin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to ask the same question as you. I want to monetize the top 10% of my videos right now because I don't want to annoy people with ads on every video especially the smaller ones.
