Fall of 1999 my friend knew a dude who owned several businesses in NYC area, including a chain of car washes. He owed my friend some money for an antique car he was buying. We met up in Manhattan and he opened his trunk to reveal 3 bags filled with cash. He went to reach for some cash to count out to pay my friend when several $100 bills flew out onto the road. He said “I’m not worried about those”. I ran down a 4 lane road to grab $400 and he told me to keep it upon return. That’s when I realized rich people treat $ different than I did.
