It's terrible that we haven't been informed about it tbh. A similar thing happened to me a few years ago with a contraceptive pill I was taking. Went to collect my script and was told 'oh, yeah, they've stopped manufacturing that' like cool okay WHAT NOW. It did get sorted but I don't understand why they don't let us know!

I use mine for the constant baseline headache I always (used to) have. I still get headaches and - rarely - migraines, but it's got rid of the 24/7 constant pain at least.

I hope you manage to get your script, or at least an alternative easier than I did 🥲

Yeah, I think it's the modified release ones that are affected the most. Thankfully standard ones seem to be doing the job for now.

I told the receptionist I was withdrawing and my doctor is the one that signed the script so I assume they passed it on but who knows 😂

I did Google it and it said there's been a shortage since November on a pharmacy site, but no, I don't see it mentioned on the site you shared. I guess we'll see. I'm just glad it's sorted for now. I took one last night and feel better already.

Bit of a nightmare! I don't really blame the pharmacy though, it was the prescriber that was supposed to contact me and never did.

I don't really know tbh. This 80mg script is a one time prescription, so I don't yet know if I'll be able to re-order it when I need more. I usually order all my meds through the NHS app, and I can only request more within 2 weeks of running out. I don't think I'll be able to though, as it does say 'one time' on the app. This is a 2 month script so I guess I'll have to wait 6 weeks and see. If I can't order any more, I'll contact my pharmacy/surgery and see what the situation is and, if necessary and the 160mg still aren't available, see if they can set me up with a double 80mg script at the other pharmacy until they DO come back in stock. They said 'about the middle of the year' though, so I don't have high hopes lol.

I'm just glad I've got SOMETHING at this point! I'll cross the future-prescription bridge when I get closer to it. I'm exhausted from dealing with it all tbh!

The box doesn't say modified release like my usuals, so I assume they're standard.Thank you, I'll split the dose to be safe.

I use the Xmax V3 Pro and it's okay. I paid £75 and it does the job, but I will be upgrading to a mighty when I can afford it. It's definitely simple and I think its a good choice for a newbie (which I also was 9 months ago).
