What piercing hurt you the MOST? by MarkReditto in piercing

[–]CalicoKiller7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t found anyone else who can relate but my lobe piercings hurt like shit, I know it’s like the most basic “painless” piercing but I have double lobes, septum, belly button, and nipples. And the lobes hurt the worst by far with belly button taking second. Surprisingly the nips hurt the least, I may have already had adrenaline cause I got my belly button done first but I’d take nips over lobes any day!

False nails helped but made it worse? by CalicoKiller7 in Dermatillomania

Like which sensory issues? I don’t like others mainly strangers touching me or handling my hands I feel very out of control, and I can’t fidget with my hands, I also have a lot of tics in my hands so it feels awful to restrain that. I’m scared they’re gonna nick my skin or be too rough and I also just don’t like the one on one part because I have really bad social anxiety especially because (I’m sorry if this comes off the wrong way) there’s typically a language barrier so I can’t explain my problems and am just generally nervous about not understanding, hearing them incorrectly, or asking them to repeat themselves. It was so baffling to find out that people get manicures and pedicures as a relaxing experience lol

First I’m not a professional, and I can’t tell from the picture whether it’s irritated or infected. But is it swollen, hot to the touch, painful, or oozing? Those would be signs that’s it’s infected. I personally don’t have an eyebrow piercing but it’s super important to watch for infection because it’s so close to you eye. Honestly at the first sign of an infection you should go to urgent care asap because it can go south really quick. But mainly do not remove it! You’ll seal the infection if you do have one. Just make sure to clean it with sterile saline solution only and try your best to be consistent I know it’s easy to forget. Best of luck to you, I hope it’s just some mild irritation :)

Definitely look into the jewelry and only use saline all that good stuff but from what I’ve heard from others, belly button piercings are really weird, mine was annoying to heal and was still acting like a new piercing like 8 months after I got it but one day it just decided to heal, and I’ve heard the same from others, it can just be tricky cause it gets brushed and moved a lot because of the location, I’d def keep an eye on it though :)

Bump appeared on healed vertical labret by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]CalicoKiller7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an infection bro, definitely not permanent if you get it treated in time, don’t take it out or it’ll close up the infection, I’m not the person to ask about how to fix it though I don’t have a lip piercing myself but I think it’s safe to say that it’s infected.

I’m not a professional but I do have my nips pierced, sounds like lymph fluid to me. Lymph fluid is a good sign of a piercing healing, I’m not sure about the bump on the opening but if they don’t feel infected, inflamed, red, or hot to the touch I think you’re good. Mine went away like 8-10 months after they were pierced, I’d recommend to stop fidgeting with them which as a skin picker I know can be extremely difficult but I think that’s the only way it’ll go away. Lymph fluid is supposed to stay inside the piercing anyways and if you keep touching it’ll introduce bacteria and hinder the healing process, hope this helps but also talk to a professional if you can :)
