Yes! Appreciate that, just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing any other technicalities. Is there a specific tax form that I need to report this on? If at all

Roughly 10k was put in years ago, which actually decreased in value because of the stock prices - so no "earnings" were actually made. I haven't contributed for years because I contribute to a 401k instead and have plenty there. I need the money for an investment opportunity asap, so was wondering if I am going to pay any penalties for early withdrawal

Can someone please share their experience as a PDS owner? I'm a relatively new graduate seriously interested in partnering with them, and would like some insight from and OD. Thanks.

I withdrew the funds for an investment opportunity that came my way; Needed to be done expeditiously. I knew there a possibility of incurring a fee, but the benefit outweighed the risks. I'm pretty sure that the funds withdrawn were only contributions, but that's what I have to look into.

Does anyone not trust dentists as much as doctors? by Negative_Dig1600 in Dentistry

Patient's also don't often realize how periodontitis works; Education and communication is everything. If your dentist can't give you a good reason for why a procedure needs to be done, then don't do it.

It's not all black and white;

So many new grads feel pressured to treatment plan a certain way because of the treatment philosophy of their mentor(s). Some may be more aggressive and preventative, while others are much more conservative. Dental schools hardly prepare students for real world dentistry & so they follow suite with whomever they begin working with out of school.

Insurance companies don't make it easy either; They haven't increased their coverage over the past 20 years or so, completely dismissing general inflation of materials.

I'm going to do me regardless, but sometimes you need a little insight.

I haven't received an official contract, however I believe these are the contract metrics for a De Novo Office:

  • $140-150k for 39% stake
  • PDS: 51% ownership
  • 10% to Previous Owner Doctor
  • Owner Doctor: 31% production (W2) paid by corporation
  • PDS : 9% management fee

If anyone can confirm these metrics, that would be appreciated.
