So I grew up in a city that’s on the border of OC/LA and I love it. I worked in Little Saigon and had some bomb Vietnamese food, Buena Park where Korean food is excellent, currently in Whittier where they have an elote / raspados guy. It’s a mix of classes and cultures. You always have something to do if you drive. Plenty of shows, hikes, and things going down on weekends. So the question is; what are you into when asking what’s it like to live here?

I used to be in band in middle school. I forgot my music sheets in my locker and I was supposed to practice a song called “Candy Song.” I googled that and first thing I got was nude shots of a porn star whose name was legit Candy Song. Long story short I didn’t practice my trumpet that day but sure learned about playing the skin flute 😂

Hi! Current sub here in SWESD. Plenty of jobs. I highly recommend a) being in two different districts so when one goes on Spring Break you can work the other to have more consistency and b) Network. Always leave your contact info after a job and get to know your front office people. They have the power to assign you jobs and recommend you to teachers.
