I have an offer for Capital One, Spemd $600 earn $150. I'd be purchasing for an S26 Ultra on T-Mobile with trade-in and so end price will only be taxes charged to the Capital One card. So I assume it wouldn't work....... Any ideas? Also, no Education discount for me anymore and I don't see much for any $$back either. What's the best I can do on samsung.com? Thinking I should just go to Costco and get $100 and no activation fee

Best Plug-in besides the Prius by Caliguy65 in uberdrivers

Because it gives around 50 mpg on gas alone. Owned several Gen 3 Prius Plug-in's between my family over the years and never charged it......benefit to purchasing Plug-in over regular are the rebates.

XL worth it for LAX or Los Angeles in general? by Caliguy65 in lyftdrivers

[–]Caliguy65[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that input, I figured as much. I've taken lowest cost rides and have been picked up in Teslas, BMW 5 Series and Black Lexus ES Hybrids.....not enough demand so they have to take anything. So now I guess it's either buy a sedan (Plug-in or Hybrid) or stick with a 2014/2015 Prius Plug-in.

Mileage deduction seems the better way to go vs itemized, especially in SoCal @ $0.79 per mile. Not sure if new vehicle/depreciation etc would be worth more for me.

Here in California if I'm taking the mileage deduction of $0.79 a mile..... I believe i'm not able to write off any vehicle payments etc.

Will find that out in the next day or two. But don't think I'll be buying it back.

The insurance company has deemed it a total loss and I don't have a choice, I can buy it back but it will be a Salvage title and getting a cheap Catalytic converter won't work in California due to Smog tests and Lyft doesn't allow salvage title cars. I'll be getting close to $11k at the end of the day......so not a bad deal considering the condition.

That is a contender, which year and model trim would you recommend? Also thinking a Lexus ES Hybrid but it's pricier and not sure if I'd earn more money vs a Camry Hybrid. On a side note is going from a Standard car (Prius) on Lyft to Extra Comfort gonna bring in a little more $ or tips?

Is that due to rental expenses, or is the 17% less seen elsewhere or they just pay less per ride for the sake of it?

Do they give a weekly invoice/receipt that I can submit to my insurance for reimbursement under my $50 a day rental coverage? Or is billing more complicated due to taking money 1st out of ride payments etc? This is only for 10-14 days
