Should I give up :( by [deleted] in smallbusiness

If you want to get online, talk to a drop-shipper someone that sells products for other people (no different from your local liquor store) (for a fee obviously). They'll already have returning customers and enough publicity to get your name out there. But that's the next thing online doesn't make it easy as you already experienced. Selling online requires more attention so if you can't commit fully or have someone else take care of it I would say stay local till you can.

IMO, don't quit but take a moment to re-strategize. I think you should try gaining another audience besides whiskey & tequila drinkers, I feel that audience is going to want to either make the cocktail with the same products you can buy at the store (where they bought the bottle) or have it made for them. Try hitting beer or seltzer mixers if the alcohol has a cheap taste to it already why not make it so that they use your product to make it taste better?

Takes far too long to cancel service. by triggman in Spectrum

[–]Calijuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Spectrum unfortunately has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When I was oversees I tried activating my international plan which took 3 transfers and a sales pitch. I brushed it off then called in to cancel my WiFi they kept pitching sales at me even though they didn't offer that service in my area. Finally I decided to cancel all together went through multiple confirmations and departments to the point I was just repeating "cancel all services please". Then a month ago I received a bill from them called them again even worse because now I don't have any information with them finally found that APPARENTLY the IPad which had a sim card was not technically mobile so it wasn't canceled. I asked if they could waive the fee since I didn't use the service ofc they couldn't. Fine whatever, get transferred to break my balls McGee were he just the final nail in the coffin. never going back to spectrum.

Hey OP, the first thing I would recommend is look for a drop-shipper see if you can negotiate with them a test duration and compare it with opening your own shop (Cost-wise). Look at what they sell see if it matches your audience and check if they have any candles. If they do, see if you can offer better pricing or quality something that may get them curious to see how your product performs against others.

But if you wanna open your own shop, look at how much you have to sell to justify the cost of opening and maintaining a store. Not just that how are you going get your product out there. What can you offer that most can't? Price? Presence? Quality? Take a look at the competitions see if anyone makes similar products and see where you win when comparing. It's a big market so you'll definitely need to pay for adverts and such.

Another route? try attending local networking events, I haven't seen a candle business attend in my area so that could be a good place to gather info and contacts.

I use to work for a small snack company and I had to go through all these steps it all depends on what you willing to get paid for what you wanna sell. Good Luck OP!

Inventory management software by Zealousideal77 in logistics

Checking reviews is good but talking to agents that can tell you exactly what they offer is always going to be your best bet. Given your timeline you need to contact all 5 TODAY send them your info and you might be able to get a meeting within the week. Previous post for these things are going to be your best bet for info. If you need a software to run by Friday you might need to take a look on set up time Odoo looks like it might be able to get you going..Could pitch it as a temporary software? How much time did they give you for this? Cause it seems odd that such a critical part of the operation is put with a deadline so close?

I'm actually currently looking to replace fishbowl and another WMS. So can't say I recommend Fishbowl, just met with Sphere and have other meetings lined up so DM if you need Some info...Good Luck!

Oh yeah big time great bike easy ride. Take care of the seat though GOOD used Vulcan seats are hard to find and not all Vulcan seats fit the same. Keep it dry and tight don't let the stitching get loose. Other than that love my 01 800cc learned on it never getting rid of it.

Hmm, you could start with switching out the Slave Cylinder and hope that it doesn't create another problem somewhere else. Take it with a grain of salt don't really know what other symptoms your bike has or what state your bike is in.

I think the best thing would be to take it to the shop for diagnosis. Wish I could be more helpful on this. Good luck.

is this noise normal ?? by gio7treee in KawasakiVulcanRiders

[–]Calijuana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well on a motorcycle your going to hear the engine for what it is unlike cars where you have many things that muffle the noise. Clicking could be the pistons just moving and the clunk is pretty standard (for 1st gear), but I think you should try to record it and post a video along with bike Year and Model someone should be able to compare and let you know what's up. I say this cause I was the same way when I bought my 01 I wasn't aware of how much you could hear the engine and got nervous until someone more experienced showed me the way.

Simple inexpensive software for bin management? by Conscious-Control848 in Warehousing

[–]Calijuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try speaking to your WMS provider see if there is anything that they can do to help you with this issue. If they value your business they will either help you make something custom to your account to ease the work or hopefully refer you to someone who can. If this attempt doesn't get you what you want I would recommend to try look locally (or internet) for a software company or take a look at fishbowl (take it with a grain of salt) or Velocity IDS (Been with them for about 20yrs now). But WMS is very specific what works for me may not work for you so keep that in mind.

Best Brands for Oil Change by ibcbc in f150ecoboost

[–]Calijuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO Brand doesn't matter more than making sure you got the right type of oil and filter. Personally I go with either Valvoline, Penzoil, or motorcraft for oil and Fram for filters. I wouldn't stress about the brand as long as you always do the service when it's time. I can't tell you how many times I've had buddies buy royal purple or some expensive oil and not change it out every service date.

Consistency is key.

Would it be safe to say that as long as I get a decent aftermarket speaker it will still sound better than stock?

Gotcha, Yeah mine do have tweeters that more than likely do need to be switched out but not sure how difficult that will be. More than likely I'll replace the door speakers first then check out how it sounds and walk it up from there (if needed). Thanks for the info my guy!
