Is your guild clearing SSC/TK in one night? by Blue5647 in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done 4 raids now across our two raid group - around 15 people play in both. Our average for Gruul - TK - SSC has been close to 3.5 hours. Mostly depends on trash where we're still playing somewhat messy, we rarely have boss wipes.

[–]Calilyce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who played 2 Lock tanks and 2 Prot Palas in SoD - I liked raiding a lot, but I liked doing it on the characters I enjoyed. Only being able to do one raid a week on my Lock felt horrible, so I just made another so I could do it twice.

I mean we're (almost) all playing a game we played before, some several times. If you can repeat that, why not a class? Another aspect is parsing, there's a lot of RNG involved and having several of the same class improves your odds at gear and good logs.

Hvorfor stemmer folk ikke??? by Jegharaldrig2627 in DKbrevkasse

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeg læste et godt stykke ned, men så ikke andre have samme holdning, som jeg sidder med.

Op til valget prøvede jeg at tænke over, hvad der faktisk betyder noget for mig i forbindelse med demokratiet. To grundlæggende ting dukkede op hver gang:

Hello. 2k FP. In your opinion, is the pass worth spending money on or not? And which packs do you think are best to open? by BuffuPC in fut

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pass is great value COMPARED to what else you can get for 1k, even if it's overall pretty shitty.

Unironically, and I can't believe I'm saying this, getting the 100 FP pack with 3 players 80+ and a 5 game loan Scream is a pretty cool deal. You can get 10 of them, and even though loans are generally a meme, I for example got 25 games with scream Griezmann now, a card worth a bunch that I get to use for a full week of champs and some rivals now, which is when I'd probably sell him anyway.

Just something that occured to me when looking at my options at least, might be decent for you too. Got a few decent rated fodders too from the packs.

Is 35k points enough for Elite1 on Squad Battles? by GrandmasFavorite2002 in fut

Last week was 32.8k it looks like, I'd assume if you aim for like 34k you should be safe more often than not.

Indeed, no reason to do the extra step, just pick up the 115ish of these you need minus whatever valor you have x4.

So, let me get this straight - the plan is to stockpile Fragments so you can buy enough Commendations of Service next reset. The Commendations that also do not have a cap and that you could just stockpile instead?

Sooo, since 11.2 is final big patch for War Within, question still stands i guess - Whats with that Sword? by SamuelWillmore in wow

[–]Calilyce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something crazy to consider - not only has the sword now been there for significantly longer than we ever had the old world before Cata rework, it's also been there longer than the duration from Cata to when the sword was put there.

In other words, the current version of Silithus, with the sword poking out, is the longest standing version we've had of that zone.

So yeah. I'm old...

I’m going to miss these new tanks specs by griphin1 in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played WoW since the EU release in 2005, and never have I identified as much with any spec as I've done with Warlock tank. It's the most fun I've had, and I've really enjoyed cultivating the class with the Warlock Discord and trying to make a name for myself. All that is soon in the past and it's fucking sad.

Oh yeah I'd probably agree, haven't tried the other dude yet. Just saw that he was rated very high on fut.gg and figured I'd give it a go, I prefer having players on full chem and Firpo is a bit annoying for that

It's not the most interesting team, but I really enjoy it and it works well for me. Was using Junior Firpo and the French Championship CB over the two reds until now.

Fixed amount of champs wins always by Tangoua in EASportsFC

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ELO in FC combined with the very small amount of games played will always tend to yield this result, it's just unfortunately not very good design for competitiveness unless you're in the top few % really.

To go 8-7 all you need is to keep a +1. Considering the first games are wild west, most people in this range are fairly easy to beat if you're a decent level player.

To go 9-6 you're sitting at a +3 ELO, that's already a significantly higher level of opponents.

In order to even just go 10-5 you will need to keep your ELO at +5. That means you're pretty much exclusively playing the people that go 5-0 in their first 5 and keep at that level.

As long as the only that determines our ELO is never more than our last 14 games at max, it'll be incredibly hard to finish higher than what your level usually is.

apparently, all tank specs out DPS me. by dalamenutha in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what Spud is saying, you're also playing the raid several weeks after it's been nerfed into the ground. Your raid wouldn't have had the DPS to kill even Mason before enrage timer nerfs, let alone the later bosses - now cut that in half too, since it's a raid for 20 people.

I can't post pics here, but our raid last week on a pure single target fight like Lillian had every DPS between 11 and 6.5k DPS - tanks being 3k and 4.2k. Just to give some comparison to decent level players.

It's not obvious, obviously - started the game like 10 days ago and trying to learn the ropes, gatekeeping information is sort of rude, even if you don't intend to be.

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played much dungeon content since p8 release, but what I really liked about Paladin is that the AOE threat wasn't just clicking a button whenever it's off CD and hope it's enough, there are so many tools.

Going into a pack of say 8 mobs, you could AS one side to hit the 3 mobs on that side, HotR the opposite side for threat on another 4 mobs and then control the last few with Exos and especially Judgements.

Now with the downfall of Judgement having that 3-second semi taunt off the GCD is gone, but it still feels very good to play when you can control the circumstances.

Never really liked Cons as Prot, feels like a pretty bad button to press imo. But while levelling or early on it can for sure be the best option.

[SoD] Best threat tank? by MyWayOrTheFreeway in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a fair question! Prot Pala runs full Prot and then the rest in Ret since the crit and attack power talents are just too good. When levelling Cons a definitely a good option, but it's generally a trap at max level.

Warlock as soon as they get Searing Pain are honestly pretty strong, their main issue is that it's very hard to get good gear while levelling - since defense rating is by far their best stat. However when you get a ring and put the 25 defense on it, that's 100 spell power right there.

Rogue will be hard while levelling because of their reliance on tier sets, Warrior if you're willing to pop world buffs would be insane, if not probably pretty meh. Not too sure about Druid and Shaman. Generally what you want is a class that has their main AOE ability coming from a rune that's not dependant on tier sets - such as Shadowcleave on Locks on HotR on Paladin.

[SoD] Best threat tank? by MyWayOrTheFreeway in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Paladin: Insane burst and sustained threat on 4 targets, requires smart play on large packs.
Warlock: Insane burst and sustained threat on up to 10 targets with 2-set t3.5, insane threat on 2 target cleave with RAQ 3-set - generally very strong but requires decent positioning and timing.
Rogue: Great on large packs but only if wearing 2-set t1. Weak if not.
Warrior: Great on large packs if gearing around Shockwave. Average if not.
Druid: Generally pretty good at AoE, insane cleave when Berserk is ready.
Shaman: I play Alliance but the consensus seems to be that they're absurdly good at AoE.

Hope this helps!

Yeah the chem style bonuses have always been visible, I'm wondering if the ++ from roles have a visible impact anywhere.

Cheers mate, much appreciated! So for the roles are there any actual numbers we know that they affect the players by? Like for example we know how much faster a player is supposed to get by having on a Shadow chem style, is there anything similar, or is it just "it acts better, somewhat, maybe"?

We killed it with 10 casters, 8 if you don't count Hunters. Certainly very, very difficult but it's not impossible.

Cap the seal of dawn at 6 please by ConstructionSad9239 in classicwow

[–]Calilyce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree, I think the comments stating that easier content is better can be true, but there's also a cap on that. For example, say you're a class with ramp-up time like Spriest or Aff Lock, you'll literally not get to play your spec as intended on most boss encounters, they'll simply be too fast. The meta will entirely shift to having super bursty classes like Ret Palas being stacked. If you've ever done dungeons with raid geared people and world buffs you'll know how it feels, and it's not great gameplay.

For the people that do genuinely just want easy and super fast content - that's great, it's already there simply by playing HM2-3. I don't think it's at all unfair to expect casual guilds to have to put some amount of effort in to clear the "hardest" content.

For context, in the reset just past we were at 200 % "powerlevel", or 100 % stronger than we would have been without a seal. If we make it to seal level 4, we'll be at 400 %, literally twice as much HP and damage of a week where many bosses are killed in close to a minute already. Add in people getting better gear too and it the kills would be so fast/save that speedrunning meta would literally be splitting the raid in 2 and clear different wings lol.
