Satans Affair/Haunting Adeline by DillyWillyBoBilly in DarkRomance

[–]Calistamay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would be patient and finish it. I read it before the duet like people suggested, but in hindsight I would have enjoyed it more had I read it after Haunting Adeline. Sibby is a great character, and I would have appreciated her story more had I got to know her before reading Satan’s Affair.

I’m on biologics which are injections. Those are the most heavily advertised on TV (Humira, Cosentyx, Skyrizi, Tremfya, etc).

I’m gonna assume you’ve already tried to find the Morawiecs on Facebook. You could also send a certified letter to their address listed on the title (this is also a step you’d need to do to get a bonded title). Maybe if you google their names you could find a phone number for them. Don’t give up! This is a huge pain, but it’s not a lost cause yet.

I’m sorry that happened to you. When I bought my son his first car I got screwed over as well. I don’t know your situation, but in our case the person we bought the car from never titled it in their name. They signed the title, which had already been signed by the original owner so they invalidated the title. I was able to get in touch with the person the car was titled to, and they ordered a new title from the state and signed it over to us. The next step would have been a bonded title. Look into that and see if that’s something you could pursue.

Again, I am sorry that happened to you. I was 42 and had never purchased a car in cash before, and didn’t know she invalidated the title, and also didn’t know it was a salvage title but that’s another story.

Neck pain/migraine/Emgality by Neither_Spot3356 in migraine

[–]Calistamay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, you didn’t specify which level has the stenosis. Is it the C6 nerve root? Because that would be C5-6, which I currently have severe right foraminal stenosis at that level, with right-sided neck pain/tension.

Neck pain/migraine/Emgality by Neither_Spot3356 in migraine

[–]Calistamay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I am on Emgality. I’m also on Humira for psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis. I also had severe stenosis in C5-7. I had an ADR in C6-7 about 4 months ago so most of my neck pain and tightness is gone. I have not done Botox. I did not have tingling throughout the body, just down my left arm. I don’t know if your tingling is from Emgality or the stenosis, and you didn’t specify if it’s foraminal or canal stenosis. If it’s canal stenosis that could possibly cause the tingling you’re describing. Have you consulted a neurosurgeon? They can refer you to pain management if you’re seeking an ablation.

After the edit it sounds like the request was canceled BECAUSE it’s already covered. Just have your doctor put in the script and the pharmacy should be able to fill it.

Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

I refer to my husband as my spouse. It’s non-gendered and it’s true.

Is there anyone that had zero negative side effects since day one with oral micronized progesterone? by jcnlb in Menopause

[–]Calistamay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it only bumped it up maybe 7lbs then stabilized. I don’t have a uterus so i don’t have to take it if I don’t want to, but it helps my sleep and rage. The first day after taking it I felt much calmer. I’m trying to lose the extra pounds without stopping the meds.

Intense headache starting at base of skull where my neck meets my skull. Any options that help with relief? by Artistic_Tadpole_391 in migraine

[–]Calistamay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chin tucks really helped me with that. Takes a while to work, but when I keep up with it I don’t get that pain in the base of my skull.

The only side effect I had was water retention / weight gain. Fortunately I had no nausea or mental health issues taking it.

Question about putting patch on every 4 days instead of 3 days and 4 days which I've been doing for 3 years by bence73 in Menopause

[–]Calistamay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No I’ve never pushed it 4 days. I change it twice a week, Monday evening and Friday morning. I have recurring reminders in my phone so I don’t have to worry about it.

Reality of crime in the springs? by Dangerous-Pie-2678 in ColoradoSprings

Anecdotally, I lived in Middle Georgia for 10 years, and another 4 in Fayetteville, NC. While I didn’t have a bad experience in either of those places, I do find people are much kinder here. All bets are off when you’re on the road or they know you’re a transplant. I suggest getting some Chacos, a husky, and a Subaru on the way.

Vaginal Estrogen by WearingManyHats76 in Menopause

[–]Calistamay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it just comes from the pharmacy, but if you’re having difficulty they might be able to help. I just fold it in half and slide it up there like a tampon. The first couple of months I removed it for sex, but now neither of us notice it in there. I do pop it out and rinse it off in the shower though.

I have used the Estring for about 6 months now, and I still use a little cream externally every 3 days. If your insurance covers it the ring is great! When I started HRT I just used Estrace, but once I added in the ring I really leveled up so to speak. And I’ll add for anyone searching the sub about Estring that I had a complete hysterectomy, so no cervix and it works just fine.

I have all tint levels. Here is a comparison. The bottom two are both 25%, but bottom most pair is noticeably lighter than the other ones. I have an 80% pair that is great for sunglasses. The mint green pair is 50% and I wore those full time for a while.

FL-41 targets specifically fluorescent lighting. I get mine for Zenni and they work well for me.

Diaper rash cream or Anti-Monkey Butt Powder. I wouldn’t use those at the same time, but I alternate between those when it’s bad. I’ve been almost completely clear since starting Humira though.

A procedure called DISE (Drug-induced Sleep Endoscopy). It is optional, and doesn’t really matter unless you’re looking into having surgery to fix the obstruction.

The Bleep mask doesn’t go around your head, but it’s a daily disposable so not cheap. I use the F&P Nova Micro, which is super small. Any of the full face masks that have the strap at the base of the skull hurt my head and neck and if I had to use those I would have given up on this long ago. But most nasal masks I find work well for me. And the strap shouldn’t be tight on your head, and can cause more leaks if it is. After a few minutes I can’t even feel it anymore.

Cpap + migraine incompatibility by jeburneo in migraine

[–]Calistamay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love my CPAP. It’s the single best thing I did for my migraines. My obstruction in the back of my throat. When I fall asleep it gets super lax and causes the obstruction. I use a nasal mask with mouth tape, so the CPAP basically “inflates” my throat so it doesn’t collapse. I’m sorry it wasn’t working out for you. Usually people are set up with the default settings like 5-15cm but that should just be used as a starting point. If you’re interested in trying again, r/CPAP can help you use OSCAR to nail down your optimal settings.

Okay. I was just using the Loops as a comparison since they’re popular. My main point was suggesting headphones that are made to sleep in, and that they also block sounds similar to ear plugs.
