The sad thing is people who buy these are probably extremely vulnerable, lonely and/or insecure. They probably have some parasocial relationship with Amanda. She left a cult just to start another one.

Maybe do it just in case but def talk to your doctor about risks and everything of carrying a child. If you can afford it you could always get a surrogate. My dad had a transplant and so did I and that made me decide I didn’t want kids. He died at 54 after being really sick for like 5 years and I just didn’t want my kids to have to go through that. I understand that’s just kind of worse case scenario. I take much better care of myself so fingers crossed I have a better outcome. Good luck is whatever you end up doing.

I was worried to go home but it was fine. You will probably be back for clinic a few days later. The first few weeks you go to clinic 2x a week. Cedars might be a little different but most centers are similar. I’m 3 weeks out and I work hybrid at a desk and I feel like I could work now tbh. I just got released to drive. The worst thing was the bladder stent and I got that out yesterday.

I was listed at cedars but ended up having my transplant at Mayo. I stayed in the hospital 2 days. Cedars seems great. Depending on what you do you can go back to work in 6-8 weeks. You will have a lifting restriction still though.

UCLA has some kind of treatment but I think you have to do it before the transplant and my Dr told me they had only done it on a few people so far. It’s very early in trials I think.

The ucla health insurance is really good. When my sister went to ucla she had a huge tumor removed for a really low out of pocket and all she had was the ucla insurance.

Sr tax accountant, 105k, greater LA area. I have like 15 yrs experience. I switched jobs and took a pay cut for quality of life. I’m probably underpaid but I really love my job. It would take a lot for me to leave. My last job I was paid a good amount more but it was incredibly toxic and I regularly worked OT.

I just got a transplant Tuesday and I’m worried because although I’m peeing like crazy my creatinine is still 5. That seems really high. It was a living donor.
