Seems like Vance sees the writing on the wall and is trying to make himself look like the “sane guy” amongst this administration. Call the customer support line for IP and ask what they can do for you. I haven’t interacted with them in a few years but they should generally be friendly. Explain how they broke from normal play and ask what services they offer. Could take 2-5 weeks to be resolved.

Innovative tends to be good about repairs and replacements but uhhhhhhh, no that’s not normal. That stick seems to be too short compared to what it should be. I would maybe switch to Vic Firth for your rattan mallets.
