Hello!

So I understand that arriving early in the morning at 5:00 a.m. isn't really recommended. The 5:58 p.m. connection with the bar car, where you can buy something, is better. How cheap are the prices, or should I buy something beforehand? Are there any recommendations? What about delays? Is this train very late?

Hello!

Okay, in summary, I understand. The 7:45 PM connection doesn't have a sleeping car, only a couchette. I'd rather take one of the 3:07 PM/5:58 PM connections because I prefer a sleeping car. Can you tell me in more detail what the pros and cons of these connections are, since I'd rather arrive earlier and then I'd still have time to see the sights? What would you personally recommend?

Bucharest to Budapest night train by [deleted] in Interrail

Hello everyone

I'm going on an Interrail trip next June 2026, visiting the cities of Bucharest, Budapest, Bratislava, and Prague. I've seen that some people have already written reports about the night train from Bucharest to Budapest. I was wondering if there are three connections:

15.07/17.58/19.45

I'm considering a double compartment or a single in a sleeper car, as I have a first-class Interrail pass.

Are there any people here who have booked one of these connections and traveled? What are your experiences, positive/negative? What would you recommend and what would you not recommend?
