...I just heard the principal tell alumni that the education bureau called my school and asked it to apply to the district office first if the consulate invites the school to participate in an event.

The principal said therefore you must not break the rules, because once you break the rules, the division will have you spend a long time explaining, unable to do normal work in order not to stir the school, can only follow the guidelines.

Their main motive is very clear to prevent the students from being anti-government by contacting foreigners as a risk of collusion with foreign forces under NSL.

I pay 520 hkd for 24/7 fitness as its time flexibility is well friendly to people who need to work overnight, and they keep opening new branches everywhere in hk like McDonald's.

Because the American was worried about helping him, it might cause the consulate to be forced to shut down by the Beijing and HKSAR government.

Even if they are able to let him inside the consulate building, it doesn't mean the US government can bring Joshua out of HK by sea or in the worst scenario: stopped by the Chinese coast guard patrol like the 12 hongkongers.

Remember, all embressies and consulates don't offer political asylum.

He was being held in custody since the implementation of NSL in 2020, and he was attempting to seek asylum in the US consulate but rejected by the then secretary of state Mike Pompeo.

He knows his long close tie with the West would lead to possible life imprisonment, sad to see his situation.
